Yeah, my mother has been saying wonderful things about hers. And smirking at me.

Awwwwwwww....... I'll never feel that joy....

Hmm, I'll never be in labor, either.

Eh, fair enough.

I've never been in labor either! Which is actually a sad thing to me...hopefully this time.

Heh. I am very much looking forward to being able to feel a child inside of me . . . after I'm married. And Now I am busy feeling grateful for my minimal cramps, bloating, and PMS. Although I have had fabulous backaches in the middle of the night following my period for a few years. It was only really bad for a few months, but can we say nights of agony? I was so grateful that I was a grad student at the time, because after a sleepless night of pain I could fall asleep and not go to campus until way late and it was just fine. Incidentally, if you really want to confuse a doctor, tell them that you have menstruation-related problems that occur *after* menstruation. They don't really know what to do with you then.

So back to the original topic...
For me, the Red Monster/Punctuation Week/Crimson Wave/T.O.M./etc. is too erratic to predict what it's going to do except that it going to stick around for a while when it does come. I just hope that I won't have to worry about it while traveling home.

I have cramps that just knock me down, but if I have access to ibuprofen, I'm fine. The problem is just if I don't have any. Then I curl up in a ball and die, more or less.

I still have trouble sleeping while I'm on my period though, even when I'm exhausted, I wonder if it is a hormonal thing. Then again, I was thinking about that the other day when my mom said the same thing applied to her periods, so it probably is something or other.

And babies! *insert babylust here*

I am thankful that I can only sympathize. Thus far in my life the worst that happens is I get inexplicably emotional. Which is not something that you want to explain to people in public. But it's pretty predictable. I will often have an emotional breakdown exactly one week before it starts, be fairly normal the next week, have minor cramps the first day and be prone to tears for the duration.

Ah, the joys of womanhood. I get crampy, but ibuprofen usually takes care of that pretty well. So I guess I'm lucky in that regard. Oh, and I get randomly emotional. I cry during commercials that aren't even sad.

PS- "Punctuation Week" is probably one of the best things I've ever heard.

I would taking cramping over emotions any day. Unfortunately for both myself and for Yellow, emotions and hormones rage. Luckily, I get over it and life is happy again.

You know, I think it really depends. Emotions can be pretty sucky, especially when they start to affect your more significant relationships. But I've had a few roommates who would get cramps to the extreme. As in, they became bedridden for a few days. If that were the case for me, I think I'd take emotions over cramps.
