I'm already her friend on facebook. d = But it's okay. I still love you. (You're one of my favorite board writers too. But don't tell anyone. It's a secret.)

If you could figure that out, NerdGirl, that would be pretty much the coolest thing ever. But no pressure!

Gio, your secret is safe with me.... but if you're already facebook friends with NerdGirl, then what do you have to offer? :D

Umm... Her anonymity? [ = Just kidding. But really.

But I'm only friends with like 6 people who come around here regularly. Not counting my brother. And not counting Practically Perfect, since she doesn't ever read the mb. But the 6 makes me laugh. Because I've never actually met any of them in real life. But that's okay, because I still love them. (And they're all girls. What does that say about me? [ =) But really, I think that there is a much higher portion of the boardies that are girls than guys.

All of you should be my facebook friends! And I've actually got an idea about how to make that scarf. I will test it out.

I'm trying to practice my crochet skills at the moment (I want to get faster), so if anyone wants a hat or headband with or without a flower on it, let me know. And I signed up for a crochet class in a month that's going to teach me how to do even cooler things than hats and flowers! But at the moment I'm just sitting here making flower hats, and taking requests. I've made an orange headband with an orange flower and a rainbow hat with a rainbow flower since yesterday. My ultimate goal is to be able to make this sweater I saw the other day, and maybe even figure out that Yoshi scarf because I want one too! :)

My crochet skills have improved so much in the last two weeks that I might actually be able to figure out how to make that Yoshi scarf and make one for both Sky Bones and Gio! Which would be good, because I have a lot of leftover red yarn that needs to be made into something. So Gio, I hope you post your mission address on facebook or something.

I was thinking about that scarf the other day! Random has started making cute little bags out of duct tape, and I told her to make one that had Yoshi on it, and the strap would be his tongue.

NerdGirl, I love to crochet. If you wanted to figure out a pattern for it, I'd love you forever and make my own. :) I could make you something in return. Umm… baby hat? Stuffed animal? Brownies (but the food, not crocheted)?

This probably won't actually happen until July, because most of my yarn is in Halifax and I am in Alberta right now. But I might figure out the pattern before then, and I'll most certainly share it with you, Dragon Lady. And anyone else who wants it.

Anybody know where I can find a pattern for a Hobbes plush doll? They don't sell Calvin & Hobbes merchandise, so I was thinking of making my own...

Hmm, all I can find for Hobbes dolls are pictures from patterns people have made up, but the patterns aren't posted anywhere. I did find a crochet pattern that used to be for sale, but it says it's not available anymore. I did, however, find this message board with a picture of the pieces of a Hobbes doll before it's sewn: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.ph ... 0826.0;all
So if you might be able to make a pattern from that!

The Mario plush dolls are threatening to doom any other projects I had in mind for my free time. EXCEPT I have to finish the scarf I'm (supposedly) working on right now. It was for a birthday a month or two ago.

Goodness, gracious that is fantastic. I really, really need to start crocheting again. I just don't know where I'd put all this stuff or who I would give it to...

Resurrecting this thread because I finally started knitting again! Whoo! I have about 5 inches of a scarf that I'm not using a pattern for, and I just purchased yarn for my fingerless gloves and choose yarn for my hat. I am EXCITED.
