Movies to be watched for Christmas to be had

I second Muppet Christmas Carol and The Santa Clause. Oh, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. I also insist on watching A Christmas Carol starring Kelsey Grammer more often than should be allowed.

My husband is insisting that we watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (since I've never seen it), and I can almost 100% guarantee that my dad will insist upon watching It's a Wonderful Life. As for me, I don't insist that we watch anything in particular. But it's pretty funny to watch Home Alone with my dad. He laughs so hard that he starts squealing...

I'd like to add Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas and the Scrooge with Albert Finney. It is by far the best one.

And I can't believe no one even mentioned Miracle on 34th Street!

My family's movies were It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and Scrooge. The new The Nativity Story is probably part of my parents' tradition now, too.

Guys, I am so sick Christmas movies. My sister has been DVRing almost every ABC Family/Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas special that's played in the last three weeks. And I am done with them.

My mom does the same thing! I always leave the room or find something else to do.

I love that one too! But my current holiday favorite is The Holiday. Sappy, but also awesome.

Well, they certainly stacked the deck in his favor. Glasses, and crying, and adorable daddy-ness. What's not to love? :)
