Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
And in happier news, my roommate broke up with his fiancee. Seriously, though, this is great -- they weren't very good for each other. So I am playing "supportive" while inside I am jumping around for joy.

I think it's interesting how people are usually like "Oh my gosh, that's HORRIBLE!" with broken engagements. But in reality, it's usually a very good thing and both parties end up happier because of it.

In the long run, yeah ... but at the time there's probably a heck of a lot of misery for at least one party.thebigcheese wrote:I think it's interesting how people are usually like "Oh my gosh, that's HORRIBLE!" with broken engagements. Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
I've decided to give my roommate 30 days notice to move out of my condo, and I'm feeling horrible about it. I know she's going to be extremely upset, and that makes me upset. (As with a broken engagement, though, I think we'll both end up happier because of it.)

And the thing stuck in my head today is...Zombocom.

Ope. Never mind, they're back together and as sappy as ever. Ugh. Now I have to pretend to be happy.

Oh no, ahem.! What happened?
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

The actual facts are not terrible. Just the feeling I am left with.
Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
There's a song that I've sung all 4 years I was in high school choir (and even before that since it was on a local TV commercial). I can now sing everyone's part...except my own. This makes me sad.

I went to the temple tonight and had "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga stuck in my head the WHOLE TIME. I feel like I'm going to be condemned or something.
Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
For listening to Lady Gaga? Yes, yes you are.

I hate it when I check this board ten minutes before I have to go to work and there is lots of stuff I want to comment on. Hang on guys! Don't say anything until I get back!

You guys.
One of my items was featured in an Etsy email today.
We have had over a thousand visitors to the shop already.
And also five sales.
I am so pleased about this you don't even know.
The end.

Awesome! I have only recently started wandering around etsy, and that place astounds me. To be featured on there is a big honor!

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
I know this is ... not really a huge deal. But lately it's really, really bugged me how un-intellectual one of my roommates is. It drives me CRAZY that she insists that leaving her fan on when she's not there will keep her room cool, or that I should take Advil because I have a very low-grade fever. She's not a bad roommate, though. She's twelve times kinder and more thoughtful than I am. I just wish that she would read a book from time to time.
Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
My mom has the same argument about the fan, Emiliana. Any time I try to explain why that doesn't work, and if anything will make the room marginally hotter, she accuses me of just trying to use big words to confuse her.
