I never pegged her as the sci-fi club type. I guess she would be about freshman age though, wouldn't she? Was she sixteen back when she wrote so prolifically that they had to change the policy? Or younger?

That would be hilarious if it really were her. If so, you should totally set her and CK up on a blind date! :)

In 2010, it seems she was a Mia Maid.

Also, krebscout, what policy is this that she caused to change?

I'm just posting here because having the General Encore Rules being above this thread is making my eye twitch.

Yeah, that is a little odd, isn't it?

Bob! I saw your duct tape rings on pinterest today! Of all the randomness that comes up on the feed, it was fun to see something and know where it came from.

I just realized that this picture is perfectly suited to posting on here. We had an ultrasound last night and in addition to learning that our baby is healthy with four heart chambers and two kidneys and a brain and no cleft lip, we also learned the gender:

So, if I'm poking around on a dating website and I get a message from someone who sounds very interested in getting to know me better but I'm lukewarm about (based solely off of a profile, but still), so I respond just to see and he writes back and sounds super excited but I'm feeling hard pressed to even think what to write back, is it more polite to write him back and say, "you know, I'm just not feeling this one and I'm a little put off by your forwardness after one round of emails" or just let it die? I mean, I know what I would do in real life if a guy was asking me out and I wasn't feeling it )politely thank him and tell him that I didn't see it going anywhere), but if a guy were just expressing interest in general, I wouldn't feel compelled to say that . . . so what do I do in this case?

Hmmm… I mostly remember that name being the title of a blog where I posted pictures of Yellow trying to wear my sandals. If I were to pluck threads in my memory, I'm thinking that you saw that blog title and at first thought that it was us announcing the name for Dragon Baby?

Also, everyone. I am very, very excited right now. I'm working on my first cross stitch ever which turns out to be a rather complicated (albeit small) one. And I feel like I've been working on it forever. But I finally hit a milestone! I finished all the leaves!!! And by tomorrow I hope to say that I've finished all the flowers, too. Which is the vast majority of the top half of the cross stitch. Let me see if I can find a picture…

Here we go:

Yes, yes. I am quite pleased with myself right now.

I've been attempting the online dating thing, too, and have wondered the same thing ... I think the most polite thing is to say something like "Thanks, but no thanks," so he doesn't waste his time waiting on you to respond. Of course, what I *actually* wind up doing is hemming and hawing and deliberating for so long that I end up dropping the conversation by default.

That's great! It's nice to know that things are spreading around the internet.
