I chose "other". My mom drove out with me from Ohio and we stayed with her family up in Salt Lake City for a week or so, spending a lot of time buying bedding and things we didn't haul across the country for my new dorm room. Then she had to leave before the actual day I could move in to DT, so my aunt and cousin volunteered to drive me down to BYU from there and help me move in my stuff. So technically my mom never dropped me off at BYU, but she did drop me off in the state and arrange for others to take me the rest of the way.

FWIW, I didn't attend BYU, but when I started college as a freshman, my mom helped me move into the dorms.

When my daughter started school at BYU-I, I helped her move into the dorms.

Oh, and I didn't answer the poll because I didn't know if I'd skew your results.

I'm from Salt Lake and had just gotten off my mission so my parents made the long trip down to drop off my stuff. I didn't have a car for eight months.

My parents didn't help me move my freshman year at BYU-I nor my Junior year when I transferred to BYU.

I'm too independent I suppose...

My parents SO helped me move in. Being the oldest, my mom stuck around longer than I would have liked at the time (but now I'm glad she did and stayed longer).
