#67784--Best covers

Post by yayfulness »

I just realized today, to my horror, that none of the answers to this question mentioned the Beatles' version of Twist and Shout. That has got to be both one of the best and one of the most successful covers of all time.

The original was pretty good too, but not many people remember it.

One of my favorite covers is Kiss the Girl by Stellar Kart

I also particularly love this barbershop quartet arrangement of And So It Goes. The awesome thing is that one of those guys is my roommate, and they practice in our apartment quite a bit. Free live music about once a week? Heck yes.

I like that arrangement, but that particular performance wasn't as good as one four people at my high school did for solo and ensemble competitions. (Then again, I did have a crush on one of the singers at the time...)
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Erato's cover of "Call your Girlfriend" is pretty good.

I felt sad inside when I saw this had posted without me mentioning "Such Great Heights" by Iron and Wine.
