I'm not a huge fan of cold cereal. I have cereal in my house, but I mostly use it for other purposes (like rice krispy squres or chex mix) or sometimes eating it dry and sometimes my parents eat it when they come to visit. Sometimes I'll put some in a baggie and keep in my pocket if I'm on call or working in the ER and I know I'm not going to to get a chance to eat actual food at work because it's at least compact and doesn't need to go in the fridge (but even then I prefer to bring Lara bars). Sometimes I will eat it for breakfast if I'm really desperate or out of other food (which never happens because I like eating and I make sure I don't run out of food), but it just feels so wrong to me. It is not a meal. Meals should not be full of sugar and cold. It's just such a huge disappointment and it really kind of ruins the rest of my day and makes me feel like something is wrong or that I am missing something. And it does not keep me full for very long. I know a lot of people who feel the same way, so quirky man, you are not alone. One thing that I have noticed, though, is that both Mormons and college students seem to be groups that are full of cereal lovers, and Mormon college students even more so, so if dude is a BYU student, that might be why he feels so weird. Every roommate I ever had at BYU ate cold cereal for breakfast and for snacks and thought it was awesome and that it was such a novelty to be in college and to get to eat all the cereal they ever wanted. And don't even get me started on how excited people got about all the cereal in the Morris center when I lived in the dorms - I was just like, "Dude, they also have all you can eat REAL FOOD here. Why are you guys such freaks?" If I want a junk food snack, I'll have a bag of chips. And if I want breakfast, I'll have something delicious, like an egg white omelet with cheese and veggies, or leftover tacos.

Re: Cold cereal
My dad hates having to eat cold cereal in the morning. I've never understood it.

Re: Cold cereal
Random eats cereal dry with milk on the side. Also this thread prompted me to go get a bowl of frosted flakes.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Re: Cold cereal
This thread prompted me to eat pizza to cancel out all of the bad memories of cold cereal for breakfast.
