Sadness. I want more random people to talk to. I'm on a lot (except when I'm at work or sleeping, basically, since I have no life).bobtheenchantedone wrote:Nope. Japan is awesome. I wonder if they can violate copyright by appointing other fictional characters to governmental posts...

That's TOTALLY me. I have never gotten a solo, and I try out for every one. But our choir teacher picks favorites and chooses them every time, so... yeah. I'm one of his favoriter people, just not one of his favoriter singers.Portia wrote:But yeah. I was no choral prodigy like some of you seem to be. Oh, I know what you mean. I could have gotten solos if my teacher didn't have favorites.Giovanni Schwartz wrote:That's TOTALLY me. I have never gotten a solo, and I try out for every one. The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Here's a vote for not using MSN Messenger. Try one of the multiple-client messengers; they don't have ads and they have tons of better features. I like Pidgin, but Digsby is sweet because it also does Twitter and Facebook. Trillian is another classic.bobtheenchantedone wrote:Nope. There is also meebo which allows a user to sign into multiple types of messenger, but it is pretty basic though. But clearly pidgin is superior.

For the mac, there is Adium, which is awesome in how much you can customize it. Every time I change my desktop picture, I change my friend list background to a transparent tint of the most prominent color of the desktop picture. Oh, and my chat windows look like a bulletin board most of the time, but it depends on how I feel. Yeah, I recommend Adium, to put it lightly. Anyone ever feel like chatting, just PM me for my user name for AIM, yahoo, gtalk, msn, or even LJ.

Thank you so much!!! I've been wondering if there was any way to get msn on my mac. This is so helpful.Quiet Lamb wrote:For the mac, there is Adium, which is awesome in how much you can customize it. I also like meebo, although since it's a web application, it's not as handy because you need to have a browser page open to use it. But I use meebo a lot if I'm on someone else's computer. Occasionally, it is very useful.Nanti-SARRMM wrote:There is also meebo which allows a user to sign into multiple types of messenger, but it is pretty basic though. But clearly pidgin is superior.
