My choice of 'nym was purely arbitrary, and I just wanted to ask a question, and I couldn't think of a better 'nym. So I just picked a bunch of random names. I think my full name is "Giovanni Harrison Rutherford Maximillian Ebenezer Geoffrey Mortimer Lawrence Algernon Schwartz," but it wouldn't all fit in my name on the screen where you pick it for this board, so.... yeah.
You could always go with GHRMEGMLAS....
I've asked questions as that before. But I like Giovanni Schwartz better. Craig is gone. I'm sad. But I might get to inherit his laptop. And his cell phone, if I like it better than mine. So ha. His material posessions that I get from him almost outweigh the fact that I miss him. How sad is that?

So, I was debating my profile picture and what I wanted it to be. I contemplated portraying me as Jesus for a while, until I decided that was sacreligious.

hm... maybe. It all depends on the type of picture, or on your intent. It can either be hilarious, or, "hey that guy must be really into church or something".

Alas, to be one year off. A shame. I'm sure I forgot to carry a two somewhere.

I bet I can tell you EXACTLY what is going through Giovanni's mind right now: "Should I jokingly confess in an effort to humor him? Should I ignore it and try to send a silent message about how bizarre it was that he asked that? Or should I just wait for SWKT to get on and say something about it and spare me the pain of mocking him? Ooh, that last one sounds good."
Meh, you can mock me all you want SWKT, it's not like you need a license to do so, nor are you alone to do so. I just fail to see why you make a big deal of it, considering I regularly mock myself too. My nym even mocks myself, it has evolved a little sure, but nevertheless it is still an object to poke fun at myself.

So, Goober and I are sitting at my kitchen table, and we were just chatting together over facebook.

Yes, we were sitting next to each other and using the internet to communicate.

I've talked to my roommates sitting less than 4 feet away from me online. They usually didn't talk back, but I've always thought it very funny how easy it is just to talk online instead of just speaking out loud.

And just now I was replying to her - typing my reply - while she read over my shoulder.

And is she typing her response to what she sees you typing before you submit it? Or are you sharing one computer?

no we have to two different computers. I just happened to be looking over her shoulder because she was laughing at something she had just looked at.

I read this and was grateful that my coworkers and I were capable of normal conversation (though my boss likes to call me on the phone even if she's in a room just diagonal from me and I can hear her just fine...) when my coworker, sitting right next to me and talking to me about something e-mailed me about what we were talking about just because she could. It felt weird.

I actually try to make fun of people only when they say something dumb, not like whenever I'm in a bad mood or something. It's sort of like behavioral conditioning, I guess. I'm just trying to make the world a better, less dumb place.

Oh, we're capable of normal conversation. We just think it's funny to use the internet to talk when we're in the same room. We, of course, do a lot of talking without the use of keyboards. : D

My brother and I have actually carried on two conversations at once before, one out loud and one online. I also did that with Goober once when we were using Skype to call each other but I didn't want the person next to me to know what I wanted to say.

I never said anything about you being in a bad mood (maybe someone else did?) but if it were only a bad mood, then it has lasted since you have registered.
As for dumb things, you have a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck in your quest to rid the world of stupid, I wish you luck.

I just went to watch all my senior friends graduate (I'm a junior. I guess a senior now.). I live in Mesa Arizona. You expect it to be hot, right? Nope. 53 degrees, according to weather channel.com, pouring rain, COLD rain, I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and no jacket, didn't have an umbrella, and did not have anything to cover myself up. NOT a pleasant experience.

Yes. They always fo them outdoors on the football field, because our senior classes are usually between 800 and 900 people, and all those people won't fit together anywhere else on campus. Apparently they thought about splitting them up and saying half in the gym and half in the auditorium, but then one of my friends gave a bunch of kids his dad's (his dad is like the assistant superintendant or something) phone number, and then they all forwarded him the same sentimental text message that convinved him to keep it outside.... It was so flippin' cold!!!!!!!

I understand. Maybe you can see if your Student Body Pres can arrange to have your graduation inside an arena or something like that. My graduation was in the E-Center, where the hockey team plays.

But that would ruin our long atnding tradition. Plus even though we're the rich school, we're too cheap.
