Just because he likes pink stuff doesn't mean he's gay. It just means your dog may have communist leanings.

if this is your only evidence, perhaps he is just effeminate.

Oh, that's awesome! The class where we wrote that book was one of my favorite things ever. That's my high school graduation picture, by the way.

What kind of class was it? (Mostly an attempt to get people to post, because I am intensely bored out of my mind today.)

It was an honors advanced writing class that wrote the textbook for the honors freshman writing class. Since you're bored, I even found you a webpage about it!

Yeah, katydid took both the class that used the textbook and a couple years later the class that wrote the text book.

I ended up asking the Board my question. Now I wonder if anyone will guess which one it is...

Gio, aren't dogs colorblind? Or is that an urban myth?

I _think_ it's an urban legend. But even if they are, colorblind doesn't generally mean "can't see any color at all".

Dogs most definitely are color blind, as in, they can't see the full spectrum of color. But their spectrum of vision should allow them to distinguish pink, and might allow them to distinguish purple, depending on the particular shade of purple.

True. Somehow what came off my fingers was "colorblind" when what I was thinking was "see in black and white." But an internet search led me to a fairly similar conclusion.

They most certainly can distinguish some shades of color, just not all of them. But yeah, I'm sure that's what you meant.

The choir I play for sang at 5 schools today, + an elderly care facility.

Still kinda a busy day, as far as that goes. Also we had dinner at golden corral and watched shrek 4.

I know you were all curious.

A popular teacher at my high school had cone monochromacy and therefore couldn't distinguish any colors. He said that there was basically no difference for him between watching black and white and technicolor films. As a result, he showed a lot of black and white movies to his students just for shiggles.

That word makes me giggle.

I don't know, it is a bit crude for me. Unless you guys have a different idea of what word combines with "giggles" to form it, because I always understood it to be "sh___ and giggles" shortened.

Indeed. Which is why I won't use it. But it still makes me laf.
Maybe we should start saying "kiggles".
