Thanks for the birthday wishes! And NerdGirl, I can direct you to an excellent synopsis with commentary included if you'd like. It's by someone who realizes Twilight has much to be desired, but enjoys it anyway.

Also, any of you females who are in Provo/thereabouts and not my facebook friends, I'm having a party Friday night. We're getting together to watch the Twilight movie and make fun of it. If you would like to come I'll give you my address.

Woot! New laptop number 1! So far, I'm digging it, except for the uber small keyboard. But it is "ultra portable", so I guess it's okay. Now just for the 14 inch screen one to come, as opposed to this 9 inch one. Yes, I bought myself two laptops for graduation. Don't judge me. [ = Just because I have a fatty scholarship...

I would be very interested in that. And happy birthday, by the way! And Nanti makes an excellent point about becoming more proficient at making fun of it.

Here you go, Nerdgirl!

Okay, wait, hold on a second. I slightly lied. Cleolinda doesn't actually do a blow-by-blow of Twilight; instead, she gives you her (still rather detailed) thoughts on the book. Also, she links to a review that lists things like how many times parts of Edward are described and how many times Bella is clumsy. Then there's Cleolinda's blow-by-blow of Midnight Sun, which is Twilight from Edward's point of view. She also did a hilarious 15 minute script for the movie, and on that script page there are links to all the other discussions she wrote on all the books.

As if that's not enough, I also recommend the Everything Wrong With Twilight series (part one here) at a wonderful website called ImpishIdea. On II there are, in addition to the Everything Wrong With Twilight series, an Everything Wrong With Eragon series, MS paint pictures making fun of Eragon and Twilight, and many researched, well-written, entertaining articles detailing exactly why Eragon, Twilight, and other novels are just plain not worth being published.

****Also: be warned, Cleolinda uses a few swear words, and those at ImpishIdea are often rather liberal with swearing and off-color jokes.

I could link to more stuff if you want!!!! ; D

My sense of smell/taste goes in and out, and I'm losing my voice. And I'm having a party tonight. Yay.

Furious customers that have their balloon orders done wrong make me cower like a disobedient puppy.

I turn 21 this upcoming week! I might be coming to Utah for the occasion for some Tucanos and to see relatives and friends, which is fun.

One of my best friends gets home from his mission in 12 days!

Any suggestions for main dishes or side dishes that I can bring to munch-n-mingle tomorrow, and either is served cold or would only need mild warming?

I just realized I just did this: http://www.arcamax.com/zits/s-546506-756857

Hope this starts up conversation again.

Green jello with carrots!! Or, more seriously, taco salad!

I don't think I have enough sour cream for funeral potatoes. Those are really good, too, though my family has never made them, to tell you the truth. I thought about spanish rice, but I don't think we have enough tomato sauce, and taco salad is delicious, but my family is having that tonight (while I'm at munch and mingle probably) so stealing their ingredients would not be cool. Thanks for the suggestions, but after all that, I think I'll make pasta salad.

I don't think I'll dare the green jello with carrots; someone might slip INTO it and have a carrot piece scratch their retina.

I made fruit salad this week, thereby convincing my mother that we should keep various fruits on hand all the time.
