Without telling them the crucial bits, I showed my brothers the big reveal scene from Tootsie. Their eyes practically popped out of their heads when he said, "I'm Edward Kimberly!" I need more opportunities to do this.

Did someone make me marry Kazan Smedry while I was asleep? I've lost track of how many times I've been lost today.

I found some nice relaxing music here. The one I'm talking about is the one labeled "Genesis," but they're all pretty nice. For you link-wary folk, that site sells CDs and the embedded flash player plays samples. The sample I'm talking about is actually over 3 minutes long.

I typically let my hair air-dry; I shower early enough that it's not a problem usually.

Only when I cut my head when my hair's almost dry and have to take another shower, then it causes problems. The dried-blood look is so not in right now.

I was vacuuming the stairs and had the vacuum a couple steps up. It toppled; I caught it with my head. Luckily just the handle, and luckily we were able to get the blood off the carpet expeditiously. (Not that was I was any help, because I was too busy trying to rinse the blood out of my hair.)

It was a busy morning!

Tonight I made brownies from hot cocoa mix. They surprisingly didn't suck. In fact, nearly the whole pan got eaten at our party.

That reminds me of the time I made cranberry sauce out of cherry-flavored Craisins. It also surprisingly didn't suck.

Future note for anyone with roommates: if the power is in your name, and you are moving out, make sure to let your roommates know. Otherwise, one of them could come home to find a notice on the door that the power was disconnected, causing them to have to go down to Provo power building and pay several fines to get it reconnected. Not to mention having to wait until the next day, causing them to have to move things from the fridge, and hang out in an hot apartment with no lights or electronics.

Just a helpful thought.

Quidditch comes to college campuses. I don't know, running around on the field with a broom between your legs seems kind of lame to me. Plus, that little face mask isn't going to help much if another player's broomstick pokes into your mouth or neck.

"Lame" is probably the nicest way to describe it... it just looks... sad.

That's as may be, but I have a friend that's been on her local Quafflepunchers team for two years, so it's lameness that's gaining popularity.

I think it is hilarious.

Here's an idea: try a real sport.

It looks like a fun idea, but sooner or later someone's going to poke an eye out with one of those broomsticks. Or give themselves a major groin injury.

Also, I just remembered that one time I was with a particular group of friends and someone decided we should get in the pool and play water quidditch. And then someone got hit in the face with a bludger and his nose was bleeding all over the pool so we had to give up on that idea.
