I watched the new Joseph Smith movie online (I like the original more. More dramatic!), and just watched Astro Boy and two episodes of a show called "Last Exile." I thought Astro Boy was pretty good. I felt like they were trying to rush the ending a little bit, which hurt the story, but overall a fun movie. Last Exile is interesting, but it has been a pretty weird intro so far. Not really any backstory, or hooks.

Also, I recently downloaded about 50 classic books, ranging from Leaves of Grass to Thus Spoke Zarathustra to A Princess of Mars. Oh yeah. :D

Did you know they're making a film version of John Carter of Mars?

That looks TERRIBLE. But don't tell Sauron I said that.

Well, it's Andrew Stanton, so I'm hopeful that it will actually be good. (But maybe less hopeful, now.)

Hmm. I didn't know that. Seems like a seriously odd choice. And I'll admit that I'm not a film critic, but I didn't think it seemed too terrible. But then again, the books are kind of ridiculous, from what I remember, so if the film is that way too, it might be a good thing. :D

I just finished reading "A Christmas Carol" and "The Other Wise Man" (I had to research a little bit about zoroastrianism for that one.) Also just watch "A Pixar Story" and am working my way through "Just So Stories" and "The Shattered Lens." Oh, I also watched "The Last Avatar" the movie. I wasn't impressed.

There is just too much to read and watch! :D

Yeeeah... Eirene and I went to see that last year. She fell asleep, and I openly mocked it the whole time to the annoyance of our neighbors.

I just finished re-reading the Hunger Games Trilogy and now I'm reading World War Z. I love zombies.

The Hunger Games have invaded my dreams, though! The last two or three nights I've dreamt I'm in the arena and must survive.

I've been watching BBC's Merlin on Netflix and rather enjoying it. The animation when they do magic is rather low-budget, but it makes me laugh and I'd recommend it still.

I watched The Secret of Kells on Netflix and it was awesome. Love the celtic art style in animation, and seriously, a film with illuminated manuscripts? Yes.

Just watched it too Whistler, and I agree. A very cool film!

Also, I read Youth by Isaac Asimov, which is pretty good, and now I am reading Aesop's fables, which has actually been really interesting.

We're watching Once Upon a Time as a family. New TV show that came out... I don't know. The first seven episodes are on hulu through Christmas so we're making our way through them and enjoying it so far.

I LOVE Once Upon a Time! It's quite possibly my new favorite show!

I watched National Treasure 2: Good, but seemed like pretty much the same movie as the first one. Used a lot of the same plot elements.

The Help: A fun, culturally informative movie. My sister cried.

And I read Michael Vey by Richard Paul Evans. I thought it was really good. I think that if you like the Percy Jackson books, you'll like this one. :D

I watched The Ultimate Gift: Good. Quite good. I recommend it. :D

Also, the new Karate Kid: First of all, the title is misleading, because he doesn't even learn karate! Basically my whole family was in agreement, it is good, but the original is better.

Gnomio and Juliet: Pretty good. Kind of a fun, cotton candy film.
