I didn't cry after an hour in the CS lab where everything I tried failed miserably.

The bravest thing I did today was go to my internship...after being told that we (the interns) haven't met any of the executive director's expectations for the past 3 months. Ugh.
I can't wait to quit this job...

I recorded myself (doing something that is good, but outside of my comfort zone) for something I'm applying for, and then recorded it all AGAIN after I was told that the recording equipment hadn't worked the first time.

The bravest thing I did today was pick glass shards out of the carpet after the cat spooked (FOR NO REASON WHAT-SO-EVER) and knocked everything off the coffee table in his haste to depart.

Today I read "The Raven" to my second graders, because it was referenced in another book I'm reading to them.

The bravest thing I did so far today was waking up three hours after I went to sleep to jump my sister's car and then go with her to get it fixed. Because she was freaking out and needed moral support.

I've had a brave day today. First I argued with a postal worker (and lost), then had lunch with a woman who found me on the internet and is now asleep in my guest room. Just now I drained a blister on the bottom of my foot with a needle I sterilized in a candle, in hopes that tomorrow I'll be able to walk without limping.

I've been brave so far today! I acknowledged that there is a life after the mission and started making tentative plans: looking up teaching programs, starting the form to request a transcript.
I also emailed my supervisors and said "hey guess what my mission ends in two weeks whatcha gonna do about it?" (Complete with that impeccable grammar.) They'll probably say, "Oh, you're doing such a good job how about you extend until December?" but at least I got the idea out there.
Upcoming brave things: making plans to visit with an advisor. Adviser. You know, one of those people.

I drove by myself in Los Angeles for the first time today. I also accidentally locked myself, my husband, and our son out of our apartment with our newborn still inside. That wasn't brave so much as terrifying. S'all good now, though.

The bravest thing I did this weekend was venturing out into the land of western Utah. There is NOTHING out there. Absolutely nothing.
(Except rocks. Which is why we went out there.)

The bravest thing I did today was clean out the fridge after a 72-hour power outage. YUCK.

The bravest thing I did, erm, yesterday was refuse to let the electrical company guys leave my compound until they reconnected our power. They said we hadn't paid our bill ... but it's kinda hard to pay a bill that they haven't actually given you, isn't it?

The bravest thing I did...well, now it's yesterday, is finally taking care of the pile of stuff in the middle of the room that's been growing since I moved in.

I took both of my kids to the playground today. That doesn't sound so brave in retrospect...but it was. And there was a creeper hiding behind a tree and staring at my kids. He honestly gave me an uneasy feeling, and I glared at him until he apparently got uncomfortable and walked the other way.

The bravest thing I did today was babysit my neighbor's daughter in a pinch when Dragon Baby had already refused two naps and I was sleep-deprived.

I cut my husband's hair a couple weeks ago...I'd never cut anyone's hair before, and he was terrified! It actually turned out pretty good.

Ha. I was terrified, but he insisted.
I must admit, though, that it brought about a very adorable moment. He came in my house before going to work, and my two-year-old sister ran up to say hi. "Look, I got a hair cut," he said. "Even my beard." "Uh oh!" said my sister. "Don't worry, I'll kiss it better." And she kissed his chin.
