Aaand I'm out, because I got two words wrong in that. (It should be "He plays the violin. He tucks it right under his chin.)

"Call the principal and give him the news. We got a holiday that he can't refuse! A day of harmony, a day of music: Beethoven's birthday."

--"Beethoven Day" from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

I just had to do another composer.

"Two hands skimming over keys, "That's fine" says the girl in the corner, the kid on the ledge, and the boy at the piano plays on."
Vienna Teng, "Boy at the Piano"

(Don't know if those quotation marks are there, but it probably doesn't matter.)

Were the bibliographies helpful? I probably won't do them every day, but I could still do them every page or so.

Yes, they were very helpful and much appreciated. Once a page would probably be best. You're the bees knees, Katya!

Day 4: everyone passed.

"We're the men of the chorus! We're the men! We're the ones you seldom hear: we're the men! The composers all ignore us--they don't know we sound so glorious! We're the men of the chorus! We're the men!"

--"We're the Men" by Jay Althouse...I think

I'm running out of composers :(

"He won't fetch a stick, or lick your hand, he likes Spike Jones and Dixieland; Sammy the dog has learned to play trombone."

Ralph's World, "Sammy the Dog"

This one needs a lyric check.

Edit: Turns out Sammy loves Spike Jones and Dixieland, but I gave myself enough cushion to hopefully be okay.

Day 5: all pass

Since Bob is low on P&F, I'll do one:

"I ain't gonna waste my summer taking beatings from my drummer! Put a mike in front of me and I'll shout, 'give me a grade!'"

"Give Me a Grade" by the Baljeatles

If everyone passes for a couple of days in a row, maybe we should say they have to start posting 2 per day (and possibly even ramping it up more, if necessary).

Yikes. I don't know if I could handle two a day. I feel like many of the things I do are stretching it, like perhaps this one:

"Come, come, ye sons of art, come, come away. Tune all your voices and instruments play to celebrate, to celebrate this triumphant day."
---Sir Henry Purcell, "Come Ye Sons of Art"

But it would certainly bring the competition down. Or up. Make it more stringent.

Edit: Apparently one of the titles for this is "Come ye sons of art away" but that's not what I learned. Be proud of me, I sang this song in CCC choir 11 years ago and I still remember the composer.

"Just get together with your friends and play some rock and roll."

Phineas and Ferb, title unknown... maybe "Music Makes Us Better"?
