So you definitely have sex appeal, for what it's worth.

My dad's hair is dark brown, my husband's hair is black, but both of them have dark red hairs when they have facial hair.

My dad is a redbeard too! When he grew his crazy beard last summer, it was red and grey. (No, not a midlife crisis. Just an inability to shave because he had poison oak on his face. My mom hated it. I didn't think it was so bad, but when he shaved again he looked about 20 years younger, so maybe she had a point. )

I've never been called a ginger, and I've never associated ginger with anything other than Harry Potter. Though, in that case it was being used as a nickname from a werewolf to his captive. So, not entirely flattering.

Also, it's been years since I've been commonly thought of as a redhead. Which makes me sad because I feel like a major part of my identity has been ripped from me.

My mom's BFF is a redhead named Ginger. True story. Carry on.

Huh. I hadn't thought of it before, but my cousin is, too.

My mom's cousin is a brunette named Ginger.
