Were any of the writers over-the-line rude in your opinion, Gio?

I did vote for some. I won't say who, because I'm frankly a little scared of their internet personalities (although I hear they're charming people in real life). Although it might not be rude, but maybe "too blunt for my taste" would be closer. And sometimes preachy. And a little bit supercilious.

I was THIS CLOSE to making a mean comment about how the asker spelled my name wrong.
I kind of get where werf is coming from. As a reader I didn't ask many questions because I was worried about what the writers would think of me (which is stupid, because I didn't even know these people, but there you go). Maybe the person is thinking about a question posted a little while ago, in which 3/4 of the answer was talking about how the question was worded in a racist way, and 1/4 was actually answering the question. But I felt that the 3/4 was necessary because, with the somewhat-racist wording, it was actually kind of hard to tell exactly what the question was asking. We're not always trying to tell readers they need to be more politically correct/respectful/whatever; sometimes we just want the person to communicate more clearly! I wish I could have explained this to the asker. But maybe that's just me, I don't know.
