I would normally agree... but having dealt with a certain pair of girls over the past week or so... anything is possible for me at the moment.yellow m&m wrote:I agree. I already fear for the future of the world. You're right about kids these days. I worry about when I'm a mom trying to deal with my own teenagers. What a nightmare.bobtheenchantedone wrote:I certainly fear for the future if she's being serious. Both the future of the world (what is up with kids these days?) and the future of this thread (what? They don't believe me? *meltdown*).
Um, so, if she's serious... I was kidding about that last part...
Yeah. I have a brother like that, too. Sometimes they just do their own thing, and you can't stop them. No matter how you want to.bobtheenchantedone wrote:I've worried about that too. I'm hoping that I can raise my kids correctly so I won't have to worry too much. (Though that's still hit and miss. My parents did a pretty good job with all of us, and my brother is still something of a black sheep.)
NO! You have to do your best. You just have to accept that some kids will go their own way, and there's nothing you can do to stop them. You just have to keep loving them.xkcd *** wrote:So basically, there's no point in trying to parent?
And when that fails, hypnosis or brainwashing works.yellow m&m wrote:NO! You have to do your best. I'd like to see your kids in 20 years...Nanti-SARRMM wrote:And when that fails, hypnosis or brainwashing works.yellow m&m wrote:NO! You have to do your best. I was planning on the whole lock them in the cellar thing.Nanti-SARRMM wrote:And when that fails, hypnosis or brainwashing works.yellow m&m wrote:NO! You have to do your best. That worked for that one Austrian guy for a bit. Until, you know, he was found out.xkcd *** wrote: I was planning on the whole lock them in the cellar thing.
Happened in Florida recently too. Maybe I could just sell them on ebay?Nanti-SARRMM wrote:That worked for that one Austrian guy for a bit. Until, you know, he was found out.xkcd *** wrote: I was planning on the whole lock them in the cellar thing.
Hey, if you can sell your life on ebay, why not your children?xkcd *** wrote:Happened in Florida recently too. On a side note, does anyone have any idea if altitude affects blood pressure?
I was reminded of this. (of course, you have to look at the Alt text: I bet my future kids will read this someday. DEAR FUTURE KIDS: how did you get internet in the cellar?)xkcd *** wrote: I was planning on the whole lock them in the cellar thing.
Who says that we can't love our children that we keep in the cellar?sqrt(-1) wrote:Awww... guys... why do we have to have so much controversy? Can't we all just love each other?
