Dear bob,

Did you find your cat?

Your secret admirer

Note to self:
If you put a bunch of mostly empty bags of pretzels and chex mix in a biodegradable grocery bag, then stick it in the cupboard above your fridge and forget about it for two years, then you find the bag, two things will happen: 1 - The bag will spontaneously disintegrate into a million little pieces when you touch it, and 2 - you will have discovered in the meantime that you have celiac disease and can't eat pretzels and chex mix anymore, and you will have to throw them away. But after two years, you probably will have had to throw them away anyway.

Dear Gio:

No.

No, we haven't.

And on Friday we went to the animal shelter with two cats to look at - one picked up in Provo and one in Springville. I figure cats picked up outside of Provo are feasible now, because the police have been involved for a week and a half, and they might think to avoid further trouble by a) dropping the cat off far away or b) taking the cat in saying they found it somewhere to avoid suspicion. But I don't know, maybe I'm just telling pretty and desperate stories.

The one from Springville we found ourselves, and he made us gasp on sight. He did look like him! We asked his particulars at the front desk and we told we could take him out and take him... somewhere to check if he was neutered or not. (At this point, I was thinking, "I may be 21, but that doesn't mean I want to wander around the shelter by myself with a cat that has spent weeks outside!") But we picked him up and found out he had a white patch on his tummy.

Then we asked to see the one from Provo. We were led to the feral room by a rather unhelpful front desk person, and I felt so uncomfortable that I didn't ask if we could examine the one black cat more closely and we left.

The end.

-bob

I really hope that ice cream picture was taken on April Fools Day. Because that would be a funny joke.

I think it was real. When does anyone ever lie on the internet?

My first time in a Coldstone the Flavor of the month was Wasabi Ginger. The bacon icecream wasn't that bad, in my opinion; though there were others who disagreed strongly with that assessment.

Maple bacon probably isn't as bad as just plain bacon. It's like eating your bacon with syrup.

Brown sugar would've been preferable, though. Um Yum Yum Yum.

Cool reuse of a typewriter iron. Even though those waffles don't look very appetizing.

Have a great week, everyone. Don't forget to vote in polls. Especially the ones that I put out.

Speaking of bacon, I got some lip balm that was supposed to smell like maple sugar, but it actually smells like maple sausage. I haven't figured out whether I approve of this or not.

Posting a reply to Gim's question in this thread, because I don't want to start a whole topic for it:

The unplugged version of Layla is by far the better. The other one is fresher, and full of longing, but something is to be said for the years of unrequited love that permeates through the later. It is the years of longing for what was never had that comes through in the wistful, nostalgic tones that makes it ever richer. The other is but a firework, bright and hot, but out in an instant. This is a bonfire, that although not as intense, has burned far longer than it should have.

I don't know if you are Biggest Loser people. But Melissa was a brat. And no one really did like her. And so the summary of Week 12 is awesome.

That is awesome! I was so happy she left. It just made us so frustrated to hear her talk over and over about "playing the game", while not realizing that MAKING FRIENDS who will vote for you and help you on challenges IS part of the game.

Oh man. Her epic fail at that challenge was a beautiful thing. Because she was a jerk. To everyone. And didn't really deserve to come back. But that's okay.

My mother and I always watch the show together, and we laughed and laughed when no one would help her.

Also, we screamed a lot at Sam's epic weigh-in. That. Was. Awesome.
