Not on the dad's side. I have no idea what the mom's maiden name is.
I think I'm related to some Canadian Mormon Hills. Then again, I'm probably related to pretty much any non-convert Canadian Mormon family, since my grandpa's side joined the church way back in Joseph Smith's day.
ETA: Ohhhhhh, I see the joke now. Really though, I'm related to a family of Hills.

I'm related to everybody, except people who share my last name. Seriously. My paternal Grandpa was from a convert family, and his dad died when he was young and he was an only child. It's kind of ironic.

I thought almost the same thing when I found out what my stepsis was naming her baby. Actually, I think the same thing EVERY time she has a baby.

Is that a girl's name or a boy's name?
I don't know. There is no way to know without more context. Those names are the worst.
Somebody on here probably has a unisex name. I'm sure you are a very lovely specimen of whatever gender you are and that your name suits you and is well-liked by you and those who know you IRL. Blah blah blah. I'm still not naming my kid something gender-ambiguous.
Let us take a moment and acknowledge the 101st anniversary of the statehood of Arizona tomorrow. As the song says, "Arizona is the best of the fifty nifty United States."
I just learned that the girl who I've been kinda-sorta casually dating, her mom's maiden name is my last name. I've also learned that we are both of the Swedish line of this family. However, this part of my family was made up exclusively of Mormon pioneers (who were then sent to settle Raymond, Alberta [I'm looking at you, Anne, Certainly and PD Kirke!]) and that part of HER family didn't make it to Utah until after the railroad was finished. Or at least that's what she says. But still, my last name is not exactly common. How weird is THAT.

If you found out that her mom had the same first name as your mom, and that they actually were the same person and that your mom was leading a second life (with two families, hers and yours) as a double agent for Canada, and that you were really half-sisters, THAT would be weird (but kinda cool too).
