Yeah, you'd better wrap that ankle up.

I will have to resolve this situation soon.
Oh, but from this story (and especially if you marry the kid) you'll have the best "most embarrassing moment" story for every ward party from now into eternity! (the highest levels of which you will enjoy if your roommates request is honored)

You know, it has always surprised me how a decent, kind, caring individual can become a total jerk when sports become involved.

And it's always surprised me how people who are total jerks when sports are involved can sometimes be decent, kind, and caring when sports aren't involved.

How long does it take an ovenmitt left on a stove to catch fire? I would have sworn up and down that I turned it off three hours ago and no one else has touched it since...

In my experience, about 5 minutes. Or at least that was how long it took for the smoke detector to start going off.

Well, my roommate's comment, combined with his observing my stress this week, led to him letting me know he doesn't want to lead me on. And me being the overly analytical talker that I am have insisted that I need to say my piece before this is over. Which means I still have to talk to him about things before moving on. But it shouldn't be too bad, since we're pretty good friends.

Remember how everyone was hurting their ankles a while back? Well mine was delayed, apparently. Earlier today, my little nephew chucked a huge rock at my ankle and left a big swollen lump on it. It's still pretty tender.
Kids these days...

Daisy, our sweet little mutt puppy we thought was pregnant, was not in fact pregnant. She is now in fact dead.

Yeah ... it was a pretty sad thing. But as bad as she'd looked the last couple of weeks, she never seemed to be in a lot of pain. (Unlike the two dogs we lost last year to tick fever -- horrible way to die.)

I am sorry to hear that, Emiliana. I was wondered about the outcome.

I'm spending a lot of my time lately feeling stupid. When did I turn into a normal person and not a practically perfect being? It's quite tiresome.

Great, now you've got

For men that turning point occurs when they get married. So, now you know what it is like!

Well that's a sad point of view. I'd like to submit that not all wives do that.

Whoa. I didn't read Vorpal's comment that way at all ... I assumed he meant that marriage itself -- the need to live with and support another person -- shows you your own weaknesses and little selfish tendencies you might not have known before.

Not that you all care, but I didn't end up having a whole lot to say to 3d after all. I just thanked him for telling me himself, instead of waiting for me to do something. And that was that. We are still friends, and his apartment came up to play games later.

My two year old sister is reading to herself. Okay, so not reading the words, but she knows what the words say. "This is for hat," she says, pointing at the H in the book. "This is for glasses. This is for ice cream."
