I made kimbap. Did you know that takuan (a pickled radish) smells like a dirty diaper pail? Well, you do now.
The kimbap tasted good though. :)

One time I made kimbap but all we had that was pickled were pickles. So we just left it at raw carrots and fried egg strips and ... tuna fish? (That was the only fish we had.) But the seaweed and the rice preparation were legit.

Couscous with garden vegetables and homemade bread. Yum.

Pasta with basil and clam tomorrow as featured in the NYT. It's a good food week. :-)

Homemade pizza last night and leftovers today. Plus fruit. You can never go wrong with fruit (except, I suppose if it is rotten).

Some fruits can even get away with slightly past their prime.

But not papaya. Never eat even slightly over ripe papaya.

I had leftover Halloween candy. Mmm... Pay Day and Reese's, mostly. In case you cared.

I decided to use Chunky Soup as gravy to put on toast. Not bad, but too processed for my tastes...

Baked macaroni and cheese, seared chicken breast in a cream of mushroom sauce, and fried green beans.

My great-grandma's chili recipe. But with half chipotle chili powder instead of all regular.

Does that mean that the taco salad is for carnivores or that the taco salad is a carnivore?

Purposely ambiguous.

Arrg, don't tempt me. I have leftover Halloween candy, chocolate-covered pretzels, and Godiva chocolate all within reach of where I work...

Scrambled eggs with white cheddar and potatoes on toast with spinach. Hope my husband/kids like this since it's the only thing I make, ever, when I don't eat out.

I can't imagine eating out most of the time. I think I would get really frustrated with the limits of our restaurants. How is it?
