Well, I DO have long hair and a beard (although probably significantly longer than whatever kid you saw.)

So I've been watching the show Whisker Wars (I'm sick, so I refuse to be judged for it), and when you said you had a longer beard, I thought "oh heavens, no, he's not
Jack Passion, is he?" But then I realized you said long hair, too. Phew.

I would have a long beard, but my work won't let me grow one.

The videogame Braid is on sale for $2.50 today on Steam. I can't remember who else wanted to buy it, but now you know.

Like Cat Stephens? I normally despise facial hair, but that would be Awesome!

I've got a date tonight (Which I'm a little nervous about, because it's my first first date in a couple of years. How do you have a conversation? I don't know anymore!), and as she was reassuring me, my roommate said "and the BEST part is--" and then her phone rang. When she was done with the conversation, she didn't remember the best part anymore.

conversation: just don't ever answer with only one- word- answers. Always follow it up with something directed at him- it keeps the conversation going. Good luck! It'll be fun!

Just kidding. The park is booked, and I am unreasonably irritated with myself for forgetting that this park isn't first-come-first-serve.

We celebrated with a pot pie for dinner, and it was uncharacteristically tasty.

I've decided that how people respond to friend requests says a lot about what kind of person they are. I went on a friending spree (as I'm wont to do sometimes) and it is fascinating to see how people react. Some respond instantly (Whistler responded in about 30 seconds) demonstrating little value for pretense or appearances (at least, that's how I'm seeing it.) Some people reject fairly quickly as well (although I'm not judging, since I never actually met Zed) some accept friend requests, but then up their individual privacy settings for you. So yeah, you're friends, but you can't see anything that is on their wall or that they post. And then there's some that just leave you in friend limbo; they don't want to reject the request outright, for fear of seeming rude or something, but they also are wary to accept. So you remain in the "friend request sent" limbo for days, weeks, months, even years, until you just want them to make up their minds already, either way.
Although I have been known to read into people's actions way too much. Yeah, that's probably it.

You can tell when people reject you, or you just checked out Zed's response specifically?
I have a few in limbo, but it's because I'm lazy. And I've never upped privacy for anybody before.

I leave people in limbo when I think maybe I might know them but I'm not sure. I try to place them but usually end up forgetting about the friend request. Or I go for weeks without getting on facebook. Never crossed my mind that someone might think it was personal.
Reason number kabillion why I prefer twitter.
