Makes me just a little bit happier, yes. Still feel bad about breaking his heart though =P

Awwwww, well... maybe if he knew your reaction to his updates he would feel better about it! :P (That's how I consoled myself in the early days of breaking up; it wouldn't have been good for him! It's good I broke up with him!) Annnnyway. Boys, eh?

Also, sorry I didn't respond to your request for linguistic opinions, I'm just busy. :(

One can hope so =P At least, I'm trying to hope so...

Nah, it's all good. It's a vastly long term project anyways, and it was worth a shot!

Of course it's good you broke up with him. Most people don't want to be in a relationship with someone who's unhappy with the situation, so if you needed to get out, then it wouldn't have been better for him if you had stayed. It takes two, and you can't (well, shouldn't) fake it.

(I'm practiced at telling myself these things. I believe it, but sometimes I still feel like the girl from 500 Days of Summer, and then I feel guilty again. Crushed the last three I dated pretty badly. But one's married now, one's become a friend again, and the last one . . . well, I hope he's doing well.)

Honestly, the biggest reason I'm not heartbroken about it is because I feel fairly at peace about the decision. It was right for me at the time, but later? It wasn't right for me, and I'm glad I realized that before we got too involved. (Partly the reason we never kissed--it was my first *real* relationship, and I was afraid of getting too invested.)

Good for you. It takes courage to decide to not kiss, especially when you can see that your Boyfriend wants to. It's hard to realize that they /aren't/ someone you want to kiss. You did the best thing possible in this situation. Honestly, it is a lot harder to break up when you've kissed, and once you kiss, you just want more kissing. So, Tally, way to go. Good job. It's tough, but you did the right thing. *hug*

He is very pushy, asking why I would not believe it. Guess i will have to think how to respond to his email some more.

Write an angry email back saying "Well give me back my jacket!" :) (funny Louis CK video how he responded to someone making unreasonable expectations of him)

Tell him you think he's actually part of the conspiracy. When he denies it, come up with increasingly illogical explanations as to why everything he says proves that he's lying.

Oh no, Katya and Whistler are part of the cover up, too! Don't kill the messenger. The truth is out there mic0.

:D I actually did hear of someone who got de-conspiracified this way, once, although it happened more organically. He was into a lot of 9-11 conspiracy theories, but there was one theory that he thought had actually been proven false pretty conclusively, so he spoke up to that effect, and everyone else in the group turned on him and accused him of being part of a cover up—which he knew he wasn't—so he suddenly got a lot of perspective on how everyone in the group was acting.

Hahaha, thanks you all for your suggestions!! I've decided to use a loophole to get out of the discussion - he said "so would need more detail for a valid debate," and I replied that I don't want to have a debate anyway. We'll see how he responds to that.

I found a site that would pay me 2 cents per word for video game criticism (800-1500 words). I kind of wanted to write for them, but my husband says the pay is so terrible I'm better off putting my writing on my blog so I can at least retain copyright. :-/

so, I told them I wouldn't write for them now, but might change my mind later, and they were pretty understanding, which was nice.

As you might guess, I am a huge fan of people making a living/side income working for themselves, so work on that blog Whistler! Don't let someone else pay you a pittance for your hard work! : )

Walked in graduation? Check.
Six-month mark with a good-looking person who appears to like me? Check.
Salaried position with benefits, vacation time, and relocation? Checkity check check.

I asked my Aussie friend where you should go for your graduation trip, and he said "Czech, mate!" Bwahahahahaah
