I'll admit that I still sometimes wish for people to stay on topic; someone coming in late to the party might feel awkward about bringing the subject back around to the point of the thread. But I accept that we're a more ... organic forum now.

Build up to the quote: Giovanni and his comp go to this restaurant on a regular basis where you get to choose a kind of vegetable, and a kind of meat for super cheap.

Quote of the week: "Basically, the more certain you are about what the meat is, the more expensive it gets."

Taiwan. Also, this last week he went to what he described as an "animal prison," where all the animals are so used to people they're tame. He pet several tigers (he said they're very soft), his companion almost lost his hand to an alligator, and Giovanni also shook hands with a monkey (which he described as "furry." Oh how creative my brother is, haha).

You are just now hearing whispers? They've been going on for years, just like how The Book of Marrim is supposed to come out eventually. Nevertheless, I am excited to see some progress.

Thanks! It was a somewhat crazy day at school, but I spent the evening with family, which was nice.

so my local community theater released their new season, and they're doing 25th annual putnam county spelling bee.

so i'm like "oh hey! i want to be olive! i need to listen to all her songs!"

so i listened to "the i love you song." and now i'm crying like a baby. this song is my life in music. it's so good and SAD. listen to it now.

i am now also going to use chimerical in normal conversation more.

The hail smashed out the back window of my sister's car while she was driving on the freeway. So I just spent the last hour cleaning shattered glass and melting ice out of her car while she had the freaked out that she wasn't allowed to have while driving.

Imogen,

My roommate is a theater teacher who absolutely loves stage combat. You should totally learn. It's awesome. The end.

I know about stage combat not because I've done it, but because I had to supervise because they were using my father's weapons.

I am SO GLAD there's a wedding today. Finally all the cake will go away!

In my experience, weddings only lead to more cake.
