The
self-deception that believes the lie . . . I wish I were in love again!

I do keep an informal "to read" list, and I often add books to that when I hear something interesting about them.

yeah, I have a huge amazon list for things I feel an impulse to buy. But sometimes I just buy a book.

Everybody. Today is AZ's 100th anniversary of statehood. If you're my FB friend, you can see that my profile and cover have changed to reflect that fact. And if you're not... well, you could see them anyway if you know my True Identity.
Happy Birthday, Arizona!

I don't remember what it feels like not to be angry all the time.

If you would like to, I suggest watch a bunch of
these videos, and a trip to the nearest temple.
I saw Katydid on the way to the grocery store the other day. I said hi, but she didn't recognize me.

Sad day. I saw Katydid last night. I kind of miss all the people I used to see that don't recognize me anymore. Although the ones that really weird me out are the ones that I don't recall having any reason to remember, like the guy that served his mission in my home ward the Summer I went to Texas.

I'm one of that 15% of Mormons who live more than 200 miles from a temple, plus I doubt that such a trip would improve my mood. But thanks for the thought.

Thanks to the talk of informal lists of books to read, and thanks to me getting a library card (finally), I decided to revive my Goodreads account. It's kind of fun. Now if only I can remember to update it as I read books…
(Also, for Katya's sake, though I don't know if you'll care or not, mostly it's about a library, so I thought of you), Lehi's library webpage is insanely stupid. Starting first with their URL (it says nothing about lehi or library in it) and the fact that googling "Lehi Library" doesn't return the webpage as the first result. Or googling "lehi library catalog" takes me to a page that links me to the catalog. I mean, really, folks, is it that hard? It's now bookmarked so I don't have to go through that again, but it's still stupid.

I would give you *e-hugs* but that's gotten me into trouble lately...
So instead I'll just say that I'm genuinely sorry that you're feeling that way. And if there's anything at all I can do 2,500 miles away, you know I'm yours.

Hmm. That's too bad. The only other thing that I do that helps a lot is go for a walk. Sometimes a really, really long walk. Like, 20 miles once, just to calm me down and get my head on straight.
I hope you can figure something out soon though!

I don't suppose walking 200+ miles would have the same benefit. Alas.
Also, I get the song, "I don't know why you've gotta be angry all the time" stuck in my head every time I open this thread now.
Also, I'm with Marduk. Anything I can do this far away, I'd love to help with. Cookies in the mail? Other snail mail? A blog post dedicated to you? Let me know if I can do anything. (There will be no videos of me tap dancing on the table, though. No matter how much it might make you laugh, I have to draw the line somewhere.)

Ha. Do a Google image search for "Newt Gingrich Dwight Schrute" without the quotes. He sure looked like Dwight when he was younger.

The Schmidt online dating profile can cheer me right up. (I know we treat you - deservedly - like an omniscient sister or favorite teacher, with a mix of awe and trying to impress you, but you're just a nice person, d@**it. Feel better!)

If anyone is interested in seeing a free movie Friday night in Salt Lake, follow this link:
http://www.pingg.com/rsvp/bkxws65g5jij385ji . It is a movie about LARP gamers who created their own little society, and it is pretty funny - even if you don't know anything about that type of gaming (like me). I saw the movie a ways back before the final sound edits were done, as I know the producer. It was all done locally, so they are just trying to get the buzz out opening weekend. And since this is a land of nerdy people who might actually know what LARP gaming is, I figured I would mention it here.

Thank you, that's very kind. I think I need to talk to a couple of friends about how to better approach some things in my life. I talked to one of them today, and I'll try to catch the other one this weekend, when her schedule tends to be more open.
