Well, I dumped the other girl after less than two weeks of us dating, and then a family friend was like "Oh, you're officially single now? Okay, blind date!" And so we went, and then in the next 8 days, we went on dates four more times, except she's going back to BYU. But I really liked her and she really liked me, and our life goals seem compatible, so now we're going to try a long-distance relationship.

Yep... I like the new girl a lot.
And she likes me back, and our goals and standards are more compatible than the last one.

I'm curious how Tally M. and Katya (specifically) would do on this. http://greatlanguagegame.com/guess/

I saw a funny name on a door in an office building recently: Cornelius Flakes. Who names their child a cereal? I told a coworker about it and he told of how, growing up, there was a girl in his town whose parents had named her Blueberry, and when she grew up, she married a man whose last name was Pie.

There was a man in my hometown's phone book with the name Stewart Pid.

I am the wrong person to have dumped my roommate's makeup into the toilet (accidentally sheesh) because I have actually dropped makeup in the toilet before and still used it. So I am trying to find replacements but for some of it I think, "Do you really need a whole brand new one?"

I'm auditing a class this semester and today was the first day, so I got there early and started talking to the people sitting next to me and when I introduced myself, the girl sitting next to me asked me if I was a writer for the 100 Hour Board.

I ran away and hid in a corner!Tally M. wrote:What'd you say?Katya wrote:I'm auditing a class this semester and today was the first day, so I got there early and started talking to the people sitting next to me and when I introduced myself, the girl sitting next to me asked me if I was a writer for the 100 Hour Board.
No, I said "yes," and asked her who she was and how she started reading the Board. (She started reading as a freshman and doesn't have any other connection to the Board in terms of knowing other writers, but she sort of knows my brother, which is apparently how she knows my name and connection to the Board.)
Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Kinda hard not to make the connection when one sees your facebook name.

Oh sure, but I don't necessarily expect everyone to run across me randomly on fb.Marduk wrote:Kinda hard not to make the connection when one sees your facebook name.

Oh, I was just saying because she knew your brother.

I'm changing the subject
Game idea for missionaries:
Watch the Joseph Smith movie. Every time someone says "Joseph" or "Smith," drink a glass of water. First person to pee loses/last person to not pee wins.

400. I'd like to see how I do in a few years though...considering I've only taken one linguistics class.Giovanni Schwartz wrote:I'm curious how Tally M. and Katya (specifically) would do on this. http://greatlanguagegame.com/guess/

I got 600. I've dabbled in several languages, which really helps.Tally M. wrote:400.
