(I thought about making a thread called "Maxi Pads" because that's not tampons, but then I realized I had an actual topic I wanted opinions on!)

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
I have been sitting under a constantly-blowing air conditioner for the past three hours. My hands are so cold I can barely type!
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

The premiere of season 2 of "The Legend of Korra" happened and I couldn't watch it because I didn't get the cable in my new place set up in time...

Meaningless paperwork is my favorite.

I thought this was somewhat interesting.
Also, I'm either Draco, James, McGonagall, or Snape, thanks to really weak scores in two areas. Any votes on which one you think I actually am (because you all know me so well...)

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Just attended one of the best sessions at our work conference so far. A physician presented on how he used our software to ask about sexual orientation, sexual behavior, and gender identity, and patient and physician education about why that is important to health, and how they kept the info confidential and on a need-to-know basis. (One of the hardest issues is dealing with insurance companies, so they have thought about separate fields for administrative vs. clinical sex.)
I thought it was very inspiring, talking about these issues from a standpoint we might not think about much. Interesting to me was that more non-straight and/or non-cis people were hesitant to fill out such a questionnaire at first, but once they knew it affected healthcare decisions and that their doctors cared, they became more open to the idea.
Still so much to improve, though! And this was in CA, which of course is a generation ahead of say, Utah.
You would have liked this one, TBS. :-)

I just launched my second Kickstarter! It's here if anyone is interested.

I support you this time! (partially because I have more money than last time, and partially because it'll make a good present for my little sister, who collects duct tape).

Thank you so much! We're already about a fourth of the way there, much thanks to both you and Whistler. : D

If you deposit ~$87,000 per year at 8%, then in ten years, living solely on the interest, you will be able to use $100,000 per year forever.
Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
yeah, good luck getting 8% interest anywhere.

Meh. Stocks and bonds. So not necessarily "interest" per se, but perhaps "rate of return."Whistler wrote:yeah, good luck getting 8% interest anywhere.

For you, Uffish.
I am using this test!
"Rum Cove, really." The EconomistA GOOD test of almost any book is to ask whether one would not be better off reading a work by P.G. Wodehouse, and the answer, in this reviewer's opinion, is nearly always “Yes.” Robert McCrum, however, has written a book that provokes the answer “Perhaps not.” This is high praise indeed.
