"When I was eight my father moved out. Left with a whimper, not with a shout."

Chess, "Pity the Child"

"Mother said, straight ahead, not to delay or be misled."

Into the Woods, "Hello, Little Girl"

(Into the Woods has been awfully useful, this round.)

"Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan/All about earth and eternal salvation for man."

"I Lived in Heaven"

"When my mother calls me, quickly I'll obey. I want to do just what is right each and every day."

"Quickly I'll Obey"

I want to move past the primary songs, but they keep being the only ones I can think of! Arrg!

Dead Cat wrote:"And God bless my Mom and Daddy and all of the world."

I was listening to this song and I realized that I portmanteaued (is that a word?) two otherwise identical phrases: "Mommy and Daddy" and "my Mom and Dad." So I should have stopped a while ago...

I actually listened to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" this morning and realized that I missed a couple of words in the line I quoted.

Hooray for bob!

I suppose Bob had enough words correct, but I think the line in "Quickly I'll Obey" should be:

When my mother calls me, quickly I'll obey. I want to do just what is best each and every day
