"Gold and silver decorations on every Christmas tree"
"Silver and gold" from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (I think. It's from one of those stop-motion animated Christmas movies.)

This song is in my head! But I couldn't get the words right so I am glad you did it instead. And you're pretty sure it's "gold and silver decorations" and not silver and gold? *too lazy to look*
Right now I've got all sorts of half-snatched phrases from songs with one color each. I really need to solidify them, but in the meantime:
He's a house 'neath a soft yellow moon, and so my blue, blue caravan won't you carry me home to him soon
"Blue Caravan," Vienna Teng
Yes, I'm using the same song as previously. I do feel a bit bad about that.

I specifically remembered the order as reversed from the rest of the song, but it looks like I was wrong. Alas.

I've got a "can't use" list for songs that I know would work, if I only knew the lyrics well enough. (Nice to see that Dead Cat got "It's Not That Easy Being Green," which was on my list.)

Isn't it a shame that "Blue" doesn't go "if I were green I would die"?
Also, bob, do words like "pale" and "milky" count when used in reference to skin tone?

Katya wrote:"Gray days, all of them gone. Nothing but blue skies, from now on."
"Blue skies"
This has been bothering me as I thought it was "blue days" not gray. I thought it maybe was just the version I was listening to, but I finally looked it up. I was right. Sorry Katya.

Not really colors in my book. "Pale" definitely not, and "milky" is just not close enough... though if enough of you think it's a color I'll allow it, I suppose. I just don't think it counts.

I agree Bob. They more describe textures and shades of colors, like saying "bright" or "shiny."
Also, on topic, even though I'm technically out: "Whisper on a scream, doesn't change a thing. Doesn't bring you back, blue on black."
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, "Blue on Black"

I just thought of a song with 2 reprises that each have a different color but not in the same song. Grrrrr!
