If for one find Hobbes the tiger to be the most intellectual and analytical of the bunch. Nothing against the other two though; it is stiff competition.

Thank you for expressing my thoughts, 'Duk. Hobbes the tiger is who inspired Hobbes the writer, if nothing else. But anyone well-versed in C&H cannot deny his brilliance.

Random thing I heard the other day:
"I'm a bigger man because I have a shorter lawn."
"If you don't put enough commas in, you won't know where to breathe and will die of asphyxiation"

So I was at work today, cleaning a bathroom at the MTC. Some missionary had thrown a toilet paper wad on the ceiling so I had to remove the tile. When I did a dead mouse fell out of the ceiling onto me. I managed not to scream, but I was hyperventilating as I went get the broom to sweep up the dust and mouse.

Lovely.

My site is down. It's a big problem because teacher training starts today and I can't get on to check if everyone's okay and probably no one else can get on either and all my bosses are on vacation and this is ... just a big problem. That I canna fix. So I'm going to go outside and run in the sprinklers for a second.

Unit: Yikes. I think I would have screamed. But if it is any consolation, my four year old brought me a dead bird the other day. He didn't think anything was odd about that. He was just carrying it in his fist, with a stuffed animal in the other hand.

And C4: I hate it when problems are out of range like that. Good luck!

Whenever I see "C4", it makes me think of R2D2.

On a completely unrelated note, I just discovered that my container of grape tomatoes contains a lot of moldy ones. That makes me more sad than you could possibly imagine.

Oh, and I've just authoritatively decided that Flipz pretzels could greatly benefit from an added pinch of salt...the salty-sweet combination is what makes chocolate-dipped pretzels AMAZING! And chocolate-dipped peanut butter Ritz Bits are one of the most heavenly creations on earth. The end.

I just finished reading the entire archives from 2007, a task I started around 4 months ago.

Now onto 2008...

I just saw "Despicable Me" and have to say that the review I read from the NY Times was just cold-hearted. This movie is adorable, and funny. Btw. Just letting y'all know.

boys have a habit of falling asleep in my living room. So much so that there is now a facebook album dedicated to them.

I think the most comfortable nap position ever is sitting down on my bed, feet on the floor, then laying the rest of the way back. This is followed closely by being sprawled out face down and pillowless on the floor.

I just wanted to take a good news minute to say that my research project at the local university hospital just got approved by the IRB and I just started working on data collection and I am so excited and I am going to work really hard and get a publication and presentation and add those to my CV! And I will get into ALL the medical schools!

If I had a Twitter account I would mostly spend my time saying that writers are funny. @insertprettymuchanywriter'snamehere that's funny.

Also, since DF posted while I was posting (congrats, girl!) I want to say that I really want to watch that movie but I've been on the Church computer all day and it hates the youtubes. (But I totally already know what video it is!)
