I love that game. I once beat the pants off my sister by stacking the deck...right in front of her. I don't know how she didn't pick up on that. Then she picked up her hand full of stop cards, and she was just like "DANG! How did I get such a crappy hand?"

Meanwhile, I kept putting down 200-mile cards... I think it was two or three turns before she finally figured it out.

Hm... the car I'm thinking of buying is technically a salvage. But it belonged to my sister when it was totaled... due to a hail storm. Really, the only thing wrong with it is hundreds of tiny dents all over it that would be very expensive to fix, but have little-to-no impact on it's driveability.

Also, I am really scared to buy a car. I keep thinking I'll buy the hail-car because I know it's probably a decent little car and it would only cost me about $1800. BUT MAYBE THERE IS A BETTER OPTION FOR ME. I guess I still have some time to figure it out since my car fund is still pretty small.

Several years ago, my mom and I solved them up to level 58.5, and I thought I could try and do them again...but I'm finding that these things are much harder than I remembered. I just finished through level 29 with an absurd amount of hints (and a little cheating).

Is it bad of me to be amused by the papers I grade as a TA? Here's one of my favorite excerpts from tonight's grading (sic all the way through):

"He would drink 14 to 20 bears a week. After leaving school he got merried and got a stable job, but he continue drinking during the weekends specially vodka and whisky."

I wonder if the idea of drinking 14 to 20 bears a week will be just as funny to me when it's not 12:30 a.m.

Haha. The idea of getting "merried" actually seems rather appropriate in reference to drinking.

They're the vibram shoes. At first they were really hard to put on! but I got better at it. I haven't run for a while, but I'm kind of tempted to try again. Spring always makes me feel like running.

So, I had a dream about Vorpal last night.

Bob and I were invited to his home for dinner and games. He and his wife were both very cordial and generous. I remember his home being very large (it even had an attached full-sized gymnasium, and the "games" they invited us for was dodgeball. His wife and I passed on dodgeball, but both he and Bob played. She and I passed the time by having a pleasant conversation.) I have to say, though, if my dream is anything true to reality, Vorpal looks more like Willie Nelson than Sean Connery. Dinner was just lovely, and the food and company were both wonderful.

I'd love to do it again, Vorpal.

You made me laugh out loud, Marduk. What you said reminded me of talking to my wife before I accepted your invitation to play chess. She said I ought to do it because I'm a nice guy, and Marduk is a nice guy, and if the two of us got together you would know that. I'm sure you and my wife would have a pleasant conversation.

My wife is a good cook, as I'm sure you are as well. And I'm sure we'd have a great time if we got together.

We like to play games, but Nertz, Rook, or something along those lines. I like to play volleyball.

Our home is not that large. We don't have a gymnasium, but we do have a full-sized pool. So, if you are ever in the neighborhood, drop in some time.

....Hey, I just got a great business idea....

So, my husband got me a couple of fish for Valentine's day, and I'm starting to think that having a fish bowl is really good for us. I have to change the water every couple of days, which means I need the kitchen sink to be empty. If I need the sink to be empty, I have to do the dishes. If I empty a bunch of gross fish water into the sink, I have to clean the sink afterward. If some of that gross fish water gets on the counters (and it always does), I have to clean the counters. Therefore, having a fish bowl produces a very clean kitchen.

Actually we progressed to eHarmony last March.
