"friended" was the verb you used. [ = And I've only actually friended a few of y'all. Even though I'm now friends with 9 of you that visit this board, plus Alishka Babushka.
Actually (here goes my anonymity), here's the deal:
I friended: Alishka
Ahem.
NerdGirl
krebscout
xkcd
So I suppose I'm half and half.

Does "friended" necessarily mean initiating the facebook relationship? Or can it mean accepting the invitation as well? Or is that "friended back"?

To me, friending means making a friend request. Although you _did_ poke me. Twice. And then I friended you.

Twice? I only meant to do it once.
*shrug*

I think you poked me, then I poked you back, then you poked me again, and then I friended you.

Gio, you friended me too. But it wasn't super creepy so I'll let it slide.

Oh yeah... I forgot about you. But I don't really count you in that list, since people I actually know in real life know you. (MY BROTHER IS HOME!)

I found your twitter account. And I'm sure I could find you if I tried, but like I said--I don't really stalk anymore. Other people stalk themselves for me.

I would just like to say that Facebook is weird. It has doen weird things to our culture. That is not to say that I don't have an account, because I do, and use it regularly. But all this poking and friending going on . . . yeah. It's still very bemusing to me.

This thread is really off-topic, but I do have to defend my friend bob. She didn't say "the people you friended" she said the people that you possess friended. Friended being an adjective, not a verb.
So there.
On topic, still good with moving are we?

I read it as "those of us you have friended", like "you have gone to the fair", because "those of us you possess as friended" doesn't make as much sense in the context of the sentence.
Also, Wisteria, we should be friends. If you're up to it. Because I'm friends with everyone, right?
And... Ummm.... Yeah. If we're moving, let's move.

I have no actual objection to being Facebook friends with anyone on this forum although I am the kind of person who generally doesn't friend people who I don't actually know. But Gio, since you are so adamant against Utah and I've read a fair number of things you've written, I might make an exception for you. The only other person on this forum who I'm Facebook friends with I do know in actuality- and he may or may not have a Facebook account much longer. And also I'm friends with C4's cousin. But I was friends with him long before I knew C4- and come to think of it, I don't believe C4 and I are Facebook friends. Wow, rambling. Gio, feel free to either PM me or work some kind of insane magic on Facebook to figure out who I am.

i'm actually pretty hard to find on facebook unless you're friends with one of my friends (and i only have three friends on this board).
though now my students are tracking me down and i WILL NOT facebook friend my students until they leave the school.

_Only_ three. Ha. I've found people who aren't friends with _any_!
I'm just teasing. If anyone actually objects to being stopped, I'll desist from stalking you intentionally (if I ever did.)

Bravo, my dear.
Also, since we upgraded phpBB forms, is there a way we could make a quick reply box on the bottom of each thread? I know in my _other_ forum we're cool enough to do that.
