Today, we have two songs that are, well...

"Brown potato. Brown potato. Brown potato. Brown potato. Potato. Brown Potato. Brown Potato. Brown Potato. Brown potato. Brown potato. Brown potato. Brown potato. Potato."
"Orange carrot. Orange carrot. Orange carrot. Orange Carrot. Orange Carrot. Orange Carrot."

--"The Vegetable Song" from Wee Sing Train

"Red is blue. Don't make much sense, but Red is blue. Red is blue"

--"Red is Blue" from Hoodwinked
"If you don't put enough commas in, you won't know where to breathe and will die of asphyxiation"

"I see trees of green, and clouds of white. The bright, blessed day, the dark sacred night."
What a Wonderful World by Louie Armstrong

And...since I am not sure the trees are green in that exact portion of the song, a fallback:

"I leant upon a coppice-gate when frost was spectre-grey and winter's dregs made desolate the weak'ning eye of day"
The Darkling Thrush, poem by Thomas Hardy music by someone else

Am I missing the second color in this?

Well, "white" in the first song is the first color. And "grey" is the second color. We just get confused because Dead Cat has two colors in each song, always. But we're allowed to pick two colors from different songs, right? If not, I recognize that my first one is incorrect (the skies are blue there, not the trees green) and bow out.

Edit: Yes, I got confused by the Mother/Father one and this one. Just read the rules again, and since...yeah...I can't figure out that clouds are in the sky and not in the trees, I'm out.

so are we going to stop and give the round to Dead Cat, or should we keep going even though I can't win? I have more...

I've got more too, and I still want to watch a "sudden death," so let's keep going for fun. Since I'm going to have to pick the next category, should I start it while we are still going head to head?

"Brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things. Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels."

--"My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music

"Thaddeus Plotz has red-hots. Ralph the Guard is cooking with lard--the apron that's cute is Dot's."
"In our toon careers, these are the golden years."

I now associate that song with Divine Comedy. :)
