Hey Fred, I saw you today. And at first I was a tad upset that you didn't acknowledge me. And then I figured that it might be kind of creepy that I even recognize you. And then I realized I'm just a tad upset in general today. So you are forgiven.

Wait, was that you at the crosswalk? Sorry if it was. I'm not feelin' so great the last couple days, and at that point I was mostly worried about remaining upright.

I wish girls liked me enough to ask me to dances. I'm going to be home all alone because all my friends asked or got asked by someone. Except me. : ( And that's how it'll probably be on the next girl-ask-guy dance too. At this point, I'm debating whether or not to go to Prom.

Cheer up Gio! There aren't that many girl-ask-guy dances to worry about I'm sure. Consider that girls feel that way all the time when they don't get asked to dances. I didn't get asked to a single dance in high school, and we didn't have preference/Sadie Hawkins dances at my high school to rebuttal. You know, going stag isn't all that bad...

Thereby retroactively justifying their actions as being fitting and proper.

Wouldn't it be better to find someone and do your darnedest to give her the best Prom possible? Then your actions say "look at what you have been missing out on" instead of "you were right, I don't want to date you anymore than you want to date me."

Trust me, it is far more influential to have fun than to prove yourself right.
