Cool... I managed to screw it up enough to get a double post unintentionally.
(smiles:)

The edit was to say "screw" rather than "crew."

But it wasn't your computer in the first place that had the problem, so why hate it?

Honestly, how did people do the crossword puzzles before the internet?

I personally can't get one half done without hopping online. I still love doing them, though. : D

I used to have to cheat quite a bit, but now that I've practiced for a few months, I can often finish a whole one on my own (minus a couple squares here and there).

I would wear a "Will Shortz is my homeboy" T shirt, if it existed.

I guess I'll just have to keep doing them, then. (There are entire shelves for Will Shortz stuff in the Games section at the Bookstore... tons and tons of books...)

Six pages? I leave for a week and you guys manage to produce six pages of randomness? I am speechless. I'm not sure if I am in awe or if I am concerned.

How about both if you can't decide?

And I thought that the board board was running a little slower than usual recently... perhaps I have not been using a proper litmus strip.

So we can assume that since the board is blue, it is a base?

(and yes it has been running slowly)

Very, very slowly. As in, I finished a crossword puzzle waiting for it to load. I wrote my day's quota of words waiting for it to load. I applied for a scholarship waiting for it to load. I ran out of things to do waiting for it to load.

And yet I was willing to go through it... anything to keep up with my beloved MB. : D

Much rather keep things basic than to have things get vitriolic.

Very true indeed. Who knows what that would cause here.

I feel your pain Bob. The other day I ended up waiting so long for pages to load that by the time I was done, I'd been on so long that the new posts since my last visit no longer registered as such and I had to manually look for the new posts on the threads. Evidently I was on my next visit or something. :)

Heh. Nanti, I like the litmus test comparison. And Tao, here's a random and mostly irrelevant anectode for you: I was using 18 molar hydrochloric acid to change the pH of a compound once and I started wondering just how acidic the HCl was. So I stuck the wand from the pH meter in the jar of acid and watched as the reading dropped from 10 to 5 to 3 to 0.4, and then just went blank. I was very careful to not touch the HCl after that. It was so acidic that it was off the charts.

Oh, aye; the idea of a negative pH messed with me for quite some time. My first introduction to strong acids was with Sulfuric acid during a hydroelectrolysis experiment in 8th grade. After seeing what that stuff could do when spilled, I could never fully come to trust those flimsy latex gloves.
