I'm horrible at doing any kind of sewing or crafting on a deadline. I decided I wanted to knit a bunny for Easter. I picked a small, simple pattern, I started around the beginning of Lent and all I have to show for it today is a scary looking tube with eyes. (But I might be able to finish the rest of the seaming, today.)

Oh, and when I knit my roommate a scarf for last Christmas, I went over the deadline by about a month.
Heh. I knitted Heartless Siren a scarf for Christmas one year. It was the first scarf I ever made with a pattern. I finally finished it and gave it to her in June when she got married and moved to California. Oops?
June of the following year or June of many years later? ;)

Let's not talk about silly little details like that.

Isn't one June pretty much like another, after all?

What is this. My 18-year-old sister came home for the weekend and we went to an Institute dance on Friday. She found a boy (who entirely creeped me out, but my sister thought he was a freshman and didn't seem to mind his gratuitous physical contact) who was obviously way into her. Today at church she was in my Sunday School class and a boy in my ward got her name because I called her by it and just added her as a friend on Facebook.

And it's like...where is this even coming from? She's going back down tomorrow so it's not like anything can come of it. (I did appreciate Facebook boy's lame message, because at least he acknowledged it was lame. And he is super cute, as far as boys in my ward go...)

Edit: AND she missed a call from one of her friends...or my friends...anyway, some other guy in the ward. He wanted to go on a date with her! This would've been her second date with the same RM. But alas, she'll be gone.

Haha. At least I get friendly attentions from this one (but purely platonic; I'm either too old, too tall, or both).

Too tall? You're not very tall at all. Also, not that old. Silly Mormon boys wanting to only date 18 year olds.

As a matter of fact, you're putting me in a philosophical mood....

A woman is like a steak. She must be aged properly before she is palatable. Too young, and she lacks flavor. Too old, and she's tough and gamey. And whatever you do, take her with a grain of salt.

Also, the best ones are a little peppery.

I'm too tall for this young man. And actually *ward gossip time with C4* he's waiting for someone. So it doesn't really matter either way. (But he's 22 and I'm 23. Which is, as you say, not that old.)

Weren't you the one that described 30-somethings as possibly rancid yogurt?

And also weren't you talking about C4's love life that time too? (Not that this is C4's love life, but it's still related.)

I may as well use this as a Favorite Quote on Facebook. No one ever checks those, anyway.

That's what I thought of, as well. Apparently Marduk likes his women-as-food metaphors. (But don't mind me. I'm moldy yogurt, after all.)

Maybe you should go for bleu cheese instead.

Speaking of meat and cheese, a friend made goat cheese-stuffed lamb for Easter dinner yesterday. It was really, really tasty.

It's Marduk's metaphor, not mine.

Well, you all know that Marduk LOVES his food. Especially those of you who have met him.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

So basically what we're saying is that Marduk likes to eat women.

To be fair, Katya, I said that about both genders, not just women. So I like to use people-as-food similes. And I said that SOME 30-somethings are moldy. I never thought you were moldy, Katya.
