Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Just talked to life insurance to get stuff set up. I never knew anyone could be so intrigued by every doctor's visit I've had in the last 5 years.

Do you ever see the posts of a stranger on facebook or twitter and wish you could just reach out and hug that person? Granted I went out of my way to see these posts, but I still feel bad for her and wish I could help.

Well, I took everyone's advice, and have ended up with a boyfriend who is nearly my ideal in every possible way. Hence my absence. I'm a pessimist, though, and am definitely still looking for the inevitable "catch" (which seems to be that he is so crazy about me that he really, really wants me to stay in Utah, and I don't know if that can or will happen.).

My mom lets her Mormonness show by saying this like "the Republican presidential candidate, even Mitt Romney..."
So funny. She always says this in emails and texts, using the "even" in that way. Hilarious.

I've always wondered whether ANYONE outside of the Church says that.

If they did, it was probably a hundred years ago.yayfulness wrote:I've always wondered whether ANYONE outside of the Church says that.

The piano tuner was at my house. He tuned the piano. And then he wanted to chat for like an hour. And no one else was home. And I was too polite to say to him "Dude... I want to get started on some of my new hobbies. Leave me alone."

I always kinda wanted to write, but that means that I have to come up with a good plot first...

Have you ever listened to the podcast "Writing Excuses"? (Yes, that means more computer time, but they have a lot of good writing advice.)Giovanni Schwartz wrote:I always kinda wanted to write, but that means that I have to come up with a good plot first...

See, I want to learn to tune pianos. So I would have combined the new hobby with the piano tuner visit.Giovanni Schwartz wrote:The piano tuner was at my house. He tuned the piano. I'd like to learn how to weld, but I lack the garage space, the money for a welding machine, the money for equipment like oxygen & acetylene, or sticks, or wire, thick protective clothing, a welding helmet, a safe storage container, and the money for classes, and I also lack the time even if I could afford all that stuff.

So I hate it when I have a shipping address stored online, and then I want to ship something to someone else, but I forget to change the address, and then I have to call people and be all like, "Hey, I'm an idiot, can you fix my order?"

But if anyone else wants to learn to weld, you can learn for free a couple different places on BYU campus. ;D

I can already tune a harpsichord. Does that count for anything?

Whatever the tuner is set to. We mostly used equal, although I think that our teacher would sometimes tune it well.
