Thanks, NerdGirl! Eventually, C4. I spent today helping Marduk watch a couple of his nieces. We're going to hit Tucanos soon, though, and my mother will be baking me a doughnut cake someday (though right now she insists Marduk will be making it). For the rest of today I'm hoping to make it to Wal-Mart and will be working all night. Whoo-hoo.

Guys, a tip: if you are going to make items that infringe on someone's copyright, make sure you also steal that person's pictures and item descriptions. ESPECIALLY of one-of-a-kind items that it would be nearly impossible for you to duplicate.

This sounds so ridiculous it's comical.

Yep. Completely ridiculous. And trying to laugh about it is how I've kept myself from getting into RIGHTEOUS WRATH mode, which, though justified, does no good to anyone.

I've got an agents' tour coming through my house this morning and instead of cleaning, I'm on the computer. Doh. Though, I justify it because I just spent 10 minute running up and down stairs and trying to get Dragon Baby's car seat into my neighbor's car and get it tight enough to be safe. (There is definitely a reason Yellow always does that. I'm out of breath! And super frustrated!) And now I'm taking a breather because certainly I can't do much good cleaning if I can't breathe. Right?

Whistler, you're so good about acknowledging and empathizing with people around these parts. You're my hero.

yeah, I guess the worst feeling on a forum is feeling ignored, so thanks for noticing

Hi all! I know some of you Provo-based readers don't actually do much reading of the Board anymore... So I wanted to point you in the direction of the survey on the top of the Board's homepage. Cause I'll be there and I like you. And I was afraid I'd forget to remind you personally.

I am in Provo right now, but I am soooo sore. Driving that long is definitely a very special occasion event.

I am now nearly all moved in to my very own 1-bedroom apartment!
And now that I got a bookcase, I'm pretty much set in the furniture department. I'll get a table eventually.

Wow. Does that make you feel all grown up?

Yup, though not completely. It's a little weird living all by myself. I'm going to have to be really good at making friends
(which, to be honest, is kind of one of my weaknesses)

All of my cat's kittens are gaining weight! I probably won't have to tube-feed any of them! Hooray!

Can't the mom nurse them? Or were they premature?

DL, its just that there's seven of them, which is a large litter. There's simply not enough nipples to go around, so some risk going underfed.

7:1 isn't that big of a discrepancy, in my experience. Anything above 9 I would start to worry about. I can recall the heartbreak when our cat threw a litter of 15 and we had to decide which 5 to put down. I have a friend who had 3 mama cats throw litters within weeks, then one got run over, leaving 2 very ragged mamas to take care of 18 kittens.

We've never had a litter over five, and we've had lots and lots of kittens die in previous litters, so we're just being very cautious. And while it's not too big a deal when they're all so little, it can get harder for them all to get proper feeding time when they get a little bigger. We do have one little one we're still keeping an eye on for the time being; she's only gained about 10 grams since being born.
I would probably just worry and hope if it weren't for the fact that my aunt had to tube feed her latest litter of puppies, so had experience, supplies, and a scale to give me. The only thing I'm concerned about is the time involved.
