So, I got several of you to do NaNo (yes, I'm going to assume it was all due to me), and now there's
Script Frenzy coming up.
All of you should do this too. I dare you!!

But I'm scared of writing a script. But I'm bored, so sure, why not.

When I say script I mean an actual correctly formatted script. In junior high I wrote three short plays and in high school I was the official girl's camp skit writer.

I know what you mean about formatting - it is rather complicated at times and also very annoying. But it also helps, as SF counts pages instead of words.

So I spent the entire time I was at work thinking about which of my scripts I'm going to write. I'm thinking I'll do something based off of a novel.

My first thought at seeing the title of this thread was that you were talking about Python or something.
And then I realized you didn't mean that kind of script...

Go
here and download Celtx for free. It makes the formatting process much easier (although, you'll still have to gain some familiarity with the conventions of standard format), and it also gets you in with a great community where you can post your scripts and get feedback.
Buy a good reference book for screenwriters (or playwrights) to make your scripts more professional. Once you spend a little time turning to it for every question you have, you'll be able to answer 90% of the formatting for yourself, and the rest is readily available to you as it comes up.
Finally, if you're not planning on submitting your script to anyone important, most people won't be bothered by your lack of standard, conventional format. Most of it has become standard for purely technical reasons, not anything artistic. So, if you're planning on filming your own movie or staging your own play, there's really no reason to struggle with conventions ... just write it however it will help you to use it. Just know that you won't be "in the club" of those who do know, making you forever an "amateur" in some people's eyes. But really, if you complete a full-length script, you'll have already achieved something most of them will never do.

I realize that no one will ever see the script, but since I am a theater major and plan on someday writing for film and theater I figure I should probably write it to the correct format. And besides, writing it in correct format will make it go a little faster.
Although 100 pages is about a 90-100 minute film.

You, my friend, are an insufferable nerd.

I now have a script to write. Or a series of scripts, since I'm going to be writing a sitcom.

That is amazing! If I were wearing socks, that would totally rock them.

This is undeniably true.

You really ought to give Python a try. Seriously. It will change your life.

(Well, okay, that's only if you're into computers and programming. But who isn't?)

I'm frenzy-ing! Or would it be scripting? Hmm...
And yes, it's Bob's fault.

I really want to learn Python. But I need to finish Java first.

I started a little play a few days ago . . . unfortunately, as with most of my fiction writing, the characters are barely-veiled ones from my real life.
