The person who asked this question was under the impression that no temples in the United States have accommodations on the temple grounds. That is not correct. The Los Angeles temple has apartments that one can rent for a single night, or longer if desired. These apartments are on the same grounds as the temple and a mission office - within the same iron gates. Several years ago hotel and motel owners complained to the City that this was unfair competition, so the Church raised the rents, but the Church keeps a low profile. Not many members of the Church know about the apartments. Temple workers often rent the apartments for a week, but patrons may also rent them overnight.
