Does anyone else (and I'm talking those with fewer than 400 posts) look at their post count and say, "Oh, 131! More Holiness Give Me!" ?

While thinking about it I had to go and look up hymns 132 and 133, since I could not for the life of me think of what they were (understandably -- pretty sure I've never sung either of them in sacrament).

If I'm the only one that does this, do any of the rest of you have weird associations with your post count? (For example, some of us *cough* hate the number 37, and most other odd numbers...or maybe it reminds you of the time in your life when you were that age...or something.)

Maybe most of you don't pay attention to your post counts at all.

I actually don't usually pay attention to my post count, but now that you've mentioned it, this post will be 197 for me, which happens to be my favorite sacrament hymn!

I associate numbers with hymns ALL THE TIME. It is so much easier for me to remember "Because I Have Been Given Much" than to remember the number 219.

"Oh, it's in room 258? Oh, Thou Rock of Our Salvation? Got it."

I take notice of any number that includes 47. Aside from that, I don't really pay attention. Except for when I'm counting how many posts I need to make to regain the title of top poster. : D

But really, 47 is a very important number to the TV show Alias, which I only know because I have some friends that love love love the show. And I was just wondering if that was why Miss bob also paid attention to it.

I should have explained, really. I knew no one would understand. Ethan is a guy I know who was one of the most popular and talented people in the drama program when I was in high school. He got half the drama kids to be fans of 47, and even now that he's long gone, it's still a much-mentioned number among current drama kids.

42 is still better.

Well, I know we had this argument at a reader party, and I know that Fredji kept bringing it up later. I don't know that it every actually made it to this board.

That explains why I don't remember it.

Actually, assuming one of my friends gets a mission call/decides to go on a mission sometime soon (as in, before I leave), I might actually make it up to in the Utah vicinity. But I don't know when or if that will happen.

However, if any of you decide to come to Tempe/Mesa/Gilbert/Scottsdale AZ, then I will be glad to meet up with you for lunch or something.

Hey, you could even come meet us all the night before you go in to the MTC, if you come to the Provo MTC. And if you'll be in town and if your companion is okay with that. I love hanging out with set-apart missionaries.

I don't know hymn 149! Oh, it's "As the Dew". I love that song. (It says something about me and my line of work that I press "H" in the address bar and Hymns is the first site that comes up.)

On topic: I don't know hymn numbers that well, actually. I keep being amazing at how well y'all know them.

I do have several hymns memorized, though, all verses.
