Tears for Fears collaborators

I recently heard the Tears for Fears song "Me and My Big Ideas". An old favorite of mine was "Woman In Chains" which featured a female vocalist. Upon hearing the former song, I heard another female vocalist, and it sounded like the same woman. I was going to ask the board if it indeed was the same woman, and if so, who is it? Also I was going to ask their opinion on the songs in question.
Fortunately, it didn't take more than a perusal of their Wikipedia article, and now I have the answer. It is Oleta Adams, who also has some solo work out (which I have yet to look at). Since the necessity of asking who it is has gone, I'll just ask the readers here what they think of the songs.
