I was super glad to see this guy's comment. It makes perfect sense to me that a porn addiction would be incredibly hard to break just by getting up and walking away in the same way that it is not really possible to overcome depression by just snapping out of it, because there's more going on chemical-wise than just a decision to be "sad" or "bad." I haven't had many situations in my life yet dealing with the effects of pornography, but I'm a firm believer in the fact that our physiology plays a significant role in our emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. I'm very impressed that this guy made the connections that he did between his physical state and his susceptibility to pornography. Way to go!

It really does become a high that can't be achieved by any other conventional means. It's something that people can do without the fear of repercussion like you would have with hard drugs and the like. It's also something that's fairly easily hidden, and something you would never be able to see outwardly on a person.
I think people are often too quick to judge without understanding the situation. It's not always as simple as a bored guy with a computer.
