I didn't know who Hypatia was before she started writing for the Board, so naturally any mention of her draws my mind first to the writer before the real one.
I went through a phase where every time I saw LJ I thought Laser Jock first.
I can't think of any others right now...but I'll think some more.
Come let's hear your stories!

Oh, man. Just about any writer is prone to jump to mind earlier than their eponym. Some of the more entertaining ones would be LJ when used in songs like
this (Check about 2:45-3:00) The fact that I presume LJ is used as Laser Jockey makes it all the more amusing. "Hey LJ, es werde Licht!"
As a side note, I also find it entertaining to see how often I get confused with someone else. I know I've had someone get Rating Pending and myself mixed around, and another time it was Dr. Smeed. I do believe this is a first for Katya though. I've never been a matron saint before.

I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out!

I read 3 Nephi 9 today and I snickered at Gimgimno's fate. Poor guy!

This isn't entirely related, but what is this board about if not tangents? Any time I see Krebscout in here, I immediately think of To Kill A Mockingbird.

Currently on Pandora I am listening to a song called "Yellow" by Chris Martin on Sounds Eclectic Too. I wasn't confused when I first saw the song title, but I did immediately think, "Oh, Yellow should learn to play this!" Though he probably already has. (I don't know, maybe I'm just really behind the times and everyone knows about the piano-only version. That happens!)

I don't know if this counts, but I always think of Hermia the writer before Hermia the Shakespeare character.

Wow, I was out of the loop, I had no idea that was a BoM reference. A nice little Atlantis- or Titanic- touch.
The fact that I can hear this person's VOICE actually falls somewhere between unnerving and weird. I was laughing quite literally out loud when I heard the podcast's introduction music . . . because podcasts are required to have that music as much as Jacob is required to have obsidian-hard abs. I fear our readers might be tipped off to our nerdiness if we reveal our dorky voices! (Not you, Gim . . . ghim? jim? . . . just the Board as unit. hahaha) Please don't stalk them by voice. That's weird. Other people don't believe me that all y'all will, but trust me, I remember . . . don't fall in love with their voices. Two-thirds of 'em are married, anyway.

Oh. You're talking about the writers as a whole, not the Podcast makers. I was starting to wonder which of them was married and hadn't mentioned it.
Anyway, Portia, don't worry. I only get crushes on the writers whose voices are single. No wait, I don't. Those voices are way too dorky.

They are sexy in their own way.... But the MOST sexy is Gumby's impression of his mother. Now THAT'S hot.

In one of my classes we're reading the Epic of Gilgamesh. I think of Marduk every time.
