If it helps you find particular movies, then yes.

I suppose if you care more about aesthetics than actually finding movies, then prettiness could also be a valid reason.

it bugs my mom that my closet is vaguely color-coordinated. She says (and she's right) that I should organize it by type. But I did it by color months ago to figure out what colors I needed and haven't bothered to change it back.

Haven't gotten any new clothes yet either.

I think I would do it mostly to annoy my sister. We have two huge bookcases full of DVDs that are quasi-alphabetical. She keeps telling me I should organize them (meaning, make it fully alphabetical). But I think this would be more fun. Especially if I split up TV seasons because season 1 is blue, season 2 is red, season 3 is green, etc.

It would bug her really bad, but she would probably never get the motivation to fix it.

This is also an acceptable reason to organize them by color.

Yes, in one so young as I. I was the youngest one on the floor. I'm out of hospital, but have to be extra careful while my sternum is healing back together.

So, it was open heart surgery? Not just where they insert a tube in a vein and work a little device up to your heart? That is serious. Not just some out-patient procedure. I imagine it will be months and months before you will be fully healed.
