Gimgimno, thank you for putting Muppet Family Christmas up there. That is one of the greatest Christmas specials of all time, and the Muppets at their very best (and it hs an actual on screen appearance by Jim!).
And what's with the love of Muppet Treasure Island over The Great Muppet Caper?
Sigh...kids these days...

Side note: I'm giddily excited for the new muppet movie that starts filming...when was it? Oh that's right, today!

Muppet Family Christmas sounds familiar....I'm sadly vague about the details of most Muppet movies. I just remember that Muppets in Manhattan made me uncomfortable. The first one I thought of was Follow that Bird. The Frog Prince would have to be next. The rest...*shrug*

These aren't ranked by absolute quality, but by their impact on my life:
Labyrinth
The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Muppet Show
Hey, Cinderella!
Farscape
Sesame Street
Muppets Tonight
The Storyteller
Fraggle Rock
The Black Crystal
The Muppet Movie
Not Listed: Star Wars, Muppet Babies (I don't personally feel that these are Muppet-y enough to merit inclusion.)

Sticking with muppet (thus no Labyrinth nor Dark Crystal) movies and specials (thus no tv series) here are my rankings:
1. Muppet Family Christmas
2. Muppet Christmas Carol
3. The Great Muppet Caper
4. Muppets from Space
5. The Muppet Movie
6. Christmas Eve on Sesame Street
7. Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa
8. Muppet Treasure Island
9. Muppets Take Manhattan
10. It's a Very Muppet Christmas Movie
11. The Muppets' Wizard of Oz
12. Follow that Bird
Based on all I've read I'm prepared for the new Muppets movie to be in the top 3. Here's hoping the movie lives up to its promise.

I've never seen whatever you're referring to here, but I
have seen this dialogue
quoted before, and I'm pretty sure "Dah! You stole my line!" isn't in it.

I've never seen a single Muppet movie, but the dialogue is basically much older than the 1986 movie "Labyrinth." I first heard it, in a slightly different form, in the 1947 film "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer," starring Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, and Shirley Temple. Cary Grant is trying to act like a hip youngster and starts the line, "You remind me of a man." It goes on, "What man?" "The man with the power." "What power?" etc.

[snort] For two reasons. One, the credit for the quote. Two, Katya, you must have been so upset at bob's usurping that you forgot a line.

Oh no! Well, I fixed it above and changed the emoticon appropriately.
