Ha. One of my roommates and I had a discussion yesterday in which he basically said it is our covenant obligation to vote as God would have us vote -- basically for Tea Party ideals. He backed up his opinion with scripture (mainly the baptismal covenant to stand as a witness of God). When I responded with scriptures of my own (mainly against preemptive warfare and giving to the poor), he said that it was my interpretation and I ought to reexamine my political affiliation and choose what God would have me do. When I said that's what I thought I was doing, he testified that I am wrong and wouldn't hear anything else about it. *Facepalm*wired wrote:NerdGirl wrote:I would like to hear a Mormon Mythbusters talk in General Conference.
