Top ten Disney songs. Links are always appreciated. Doubly so for any lesser-known songs.
Rules: Must be full length animated Disney films only.
Must stop at ten. No runners-up.
No cheating and rolling multiple songs into one slot.
Must be a poll or some other cheating, scientific, boring list. No opinions!
Breaking any rule is punishable by depth.
My list:
10)
Stand Out - A Goofy Movie
9)
A Friend Like Me - Aladdin
8)
Be Our Guest - Beauty and the Beast
7)
Jack's Lament - Nightmare Before Christmas
6)
I'll Make a Man Out Of You - Mulan (Also in
Mandarin!)
5)
Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
4)
I Won't Say I'm In Love - Hercules
3)
If I Can't Love Her (and it's
reprise) - Beauty and the Beast
2)
Hellfire - Hunchback of Notre Dame
1)
Robin Hood. the
whole dang thing.
Honorable mention goes to the little mermaid. With all of its good songs, something should have made the top ten. If only I could get past the plot...
And with
others we'll have to wait and see.
Edit:fixtit.

"If I Can't Love Her" actually isn't in the original film—it's only in the Broadway interpretation of the film. You will now be punished by depth.

Tao, I see a bottomless pit in your near future. Or we can set you up so that you're
falling like the moon since your last Robin Hood link didn't work either. As for me and my refusal to break your rules as you have and put "
The Madness of Scar" on my list, here is said list:
10. "
Almost There" -
The Princess and the Frog
9. "
Narissa Arrives" -
Enchanted
8. "
Belle" -
Beauty and the Beast
7. "
Les Poissons" -
The Little Mermaid
6. "
Percy's Bath" -
Pocahontas
5. "
Court of Miracles" -
Hunchback of Notre Dame
4. "
Sorcerer's Apprentice" -
Fantasia and
Fantasia 2000
3. "
One Jump Ahead" -
Aladdin
2. "
Happy Working Song" -
Enchanted
1. "
The Mob Song" -
Beauty and the Beast (also
Hebrew and
Norwegian)

...so you set up some rules, and then broke half of them?
'Kay.
These are not in any sort of order:
1.
Sally's Song -
The Nightmare Before Christmas
2. Jack's Lament -
The Nightmare Before Christmas (see Tao's link)
3.
When Somebody Loved Me -
Toy Story 2
4.
Friends on the Other Side -
The Princess and the Frog
5. I Won't Say I'm in Love -
Hercules (see Tao's link)
6.
Let Me be Good to You - The Great Mouse Detective
My internet is failing. List: to be continued.

Enchanted is not a full-length animated film.
It's on Wikipedia's "List of Disney theatrical animated features," so I say it counts--at least as much as stop-motion or Pixar films do--or even Fantasia, which has significant portions in live action and yet is widely considered an animated feature.

Stop-motion animation and 3-D animation are both subcategories of animation and
Fantasia is predominantly animated. (I'd guess it's over 80% animation, although it's been a long time since I've seen it.)
Enchanted, on the other hand, is probably 80% live-action (unless you want to count the CGI scenes with pip and Narissa-the-dragon as making those scenes animated). However, it is a "full-length Disney film with animation," so I guess it's up to Tao to decide if it fits his original intent. Assuming he's not dead.

Only half? Did I miss some?
Heh, the 'rules' were there to give the general form of what I was looking at, and my blatant disregard for them goes to show how strictly I feel such rules need be adhered to.

Fantasia had live action portions? Beyond the introduction bits? I guess I recall Mickey shaking the conductor's hand, just been too long since I've seen it.
As for the rest, carry on: rules were made to be followed casually, if at all.

Half of the first number (
Toccata and Fugue) was entirely live action.

i don't need a top ten as there is only one Disney song in my heart that defined my childhood:
1-9: Part of Your World- Little Mermaid
10: Almost There- Princess and the Frog

That is by far my most favorite Disney song.
